Abstract
The present invention relates to an electronic device and method for intelligent image conversion. The electronic device according to one embodiment of the present invention converts and plays back images, and comprises: a sensor unit for sensing a sensor value related to the gripped state of the electronic device; and a control unit for performing a conversion of the image according to the image ratio of the image and the gripped state according to the sensor value. The control unit performs at least one among a first conversion for improving image quality while maintaining the content of the image, a second conversion for adding new image content to the content of the image and synthesizing the content, and a third conversion for improving image quality while enlarging at least a portion of the content of the image.
