Description
DESCRIPTION
A TRIGGER CONFIGURATION THAT CAN BE COCKED WITH THE SAFETY OPEN
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a movable lever part that rotates around a lever pin, and enables the user to cock the gun even when the gun safety is active, by determining the opening limit with a lever spring.
Prior Art
In the state of the art, the hammer and the trigger work together. The hammer is the part that enables the gun to be cocked. They are connected to each other with a spring in the pushing direction and a spring that engages to the spring shaft on the body of the hammer, and a spring in the pulling direction, which engages the trigger shaft of said spring. In other words, during cocking, the trigger moves slowly while the hammer is pulled, allowing the trigger to be cocked. In other words, the tab in the lower part of the hammer in contact with the trigger moves downwards when the gun is cocked. The trigger, on the other hand, provides a slightly forward inclined movement and allows the tab to engage the sear under the trigger, allowing the gun to be cocked. This movement of the trigger occurs when the safety is open.
In the prior art, in cases where the safety is closed, cocking cannot be achieved since the rotational movement of the trigger is prevented. When the gun is forgotten safety open and the user desires to cock it, the hammer is pulled but the trigger does not move. As a result of the force applied to the hammer by the user not performing the rotational movement of the trigger, it overlaps on the shafts and springs on the trigger and the hammer. As a result of this hard movement, the shafts and spring system can be damaged or even broken by pressure. The hammer tab is also damaged, and the trigger/cocking group becomes unusable.
Disadvantages of the state of the art such as pulling the hammer to cock the gun while it is safe and damaging the parts by pressure necessitated an R.&D study in the relevant field.
Objects of the Invention
The subject of the invention is a lever part, which is added as sear, rotates around a shaft and whose opening limit is determined by a spring, and the object thereof is to ensure that the gun is cocked by pulling the hammer even when the gun is safe and the trigger is locked.

The sear of the present invention, which can be cocked with the safety open seen in Figure - 1, relates to a lever (6) that eliminates basically the need for the trigger (2) to rotate as a whole in the axis of the trigger pin (11) during cocking the hammer (1) and thereby providing the hammer (1) to be cocked when the trigger (2) is in safety position, that can rotate independently of the trigger (2) and is located at the end where the trigger (2) comes into contact with the hammer.
The trigger (2) and the hammer (1) are connected to each other by a hammer spring (4) and a trigger spring (5) located on a hammer pin (10) and a trigger pin (11) in the pushing direction. While the safety pin (3) of the gun is active, the trigger (2) is prevented from turning in the axis of the trigger pin (11). That is, the trigger (2) will not turn, even when the user presses the trigger (2), so the user will not be able to use the trigger (2). Figure - 3 illustrates the position of the hammer (1) and the trigger (2) before the gun is cocked. In this position, the hammer (1) is up and fixed, the hammer spring (4) is free on the hammer pin (10)
and the tab (1.1) is sit on the lever (6). The trigger spring (5) and the trigger (2) are also neutral, and the gun is not loaded. When the hammer spring (4) is in free state (when not cocked), it is positioned in the upward direction.
In Figure- 2, it is shown that the safety pin (3) is active, and the gun is cocked. While the gun is being cocked, the hammer (1) is pulled, and the hammer (1) rotates on the hammer pin (10). The hammer spring (4) descends tensely. Meanwhile, with the movement of the hammer (1), the tab (1.1) presses the lever (6), enabling the lever (6) to rotate and the pressure-eating end to move in downward direction. With the movement of the lever (6), the lever spring (7) between the lever (6) and the trigger (2) body is compressed (cocked). When the tab(l.l) is locked by engaging under the lever (6) as in Figure - 1, the lever (6) is released, the lever spring (7) applies a pushing force to the lever (6) and the lever (6) turns in the opposite direction of the previous rotation direction and returns to its former (pre- cocking) position. The rotation of the lever (6) with the force of the lever spring (7) ends when the lever tab (9) located at the end of the lever (6) is attached to the pin (12) formed on the trigger (2). The pin (12) and the lever tab (9) limit the movement of the lever and ensure that the lever (6) remains in the same position before and after cocking. Thus, in the safety position where the rotation movement of the trigger (2) is prevented by the safety pin (3) in the prior art, the gun, which cannot be cocked due to the prevention of the rotational movement of the trigger (2), can be cocked even with safety open. When the gun is cocked, the trigger spring (5) is stuck (loaded), but the firing does not occur since the safety pin (3) is in the active position.
Even if the movement of this trigger (2) is completely restricted while the safety pin (3) is active, the movement of the lever (6) also allows the movement of the hammer (1) independently of the trigger (2). In this way, even if the user forgets the safety pin (3) of his/her gun and pulls the hammer (1) for the cocking process, he/she can perform the cocking process without damaging the pins of the trigger (2) and the cocking group and the tab (1.1) of the hammer (1). (Figure - 4 )
In the prior art, the trigger moves in the axis of the trigger pin such that it allows the movement of the hammer when the gun is desired to be cocked by pulling the hammer and returns to its original position after the cocking process is completed.
With the subject of the invention, the lever (6) part located at the tip of the trigger (2) performs this movement mentioned in the prior art. Thus, the gun can be easily cocked by the user even when the safety pin (3) is active.
The said invention can also be applied for bullpup rifles in which the sear is located out of the trigger (2), but on the sear body (13) and the hammer is not cocked on to trigger (2) but on to the sear body (13). In alternative bullpup version, the movement of the sear body (13) is prevented by the pin while the rifle is in safety position. As a result, when the bullpup rifle is in safety position, even though the trigger (2) is pulled by user, since the trigger (2) is connected to the sear body (13) by a trigger bar, trigger (2) cannot be turned. The invention is related to the sear which enables to bullpup rifle can be cocked in safety position.
In an alternative bullpup application, while the gun is being cocked, the hammer (1) is pulled, and the hammer (1) rotates on the hammer pin (10). The hammer spring (4) descends tensely. Meanwhile, with the movement of the hammer (1), the tab (1.1) presses the lever (6) which is located on the edge of sear body (13), enabling the lever (6) to rotate and the pressure-eating end to move in downward direction. With the movement of the lever (6), the lever spring (7) between the lever (6) and the sear body (13) body is compressed (cocked). Thus, in the safety position where the rotation movement of the trigger (sear body) is prevented by the safety pin (3) in the prior art, the gun, which cannot be cocked due to the prevention of the rotational movement of the trigger (2), can be cocked even with safety open. When the gun is cocked, the trigger spring (5) is stuck (loaded), but the firing does not occur since the safety pin (3) is in the active position.
