Description

Advertising distribution system, method and program
The present invention relates to technology for distributing advertisements to mobile communication terminals such as smartphones.
In recent years, various advertisement distribution services have been proposed (for example, see Patent Document 1).
Patent No. 6544617
Due to the development of communication technology, in recent years the distribution of news, etc. in the form of videos, still images, and audio using apps installed on mobile communication terminals such as smartphones has become popular. For this reason, advertisements sent by clients such as companies and individuals are being replaced from advertisements in television broadcasts, which are unilaterally transmitted by radio waves from broadcasting stations, to advertisements in two-way communication using the Internet. Advertisements in two-way communication using the Internet can deliver advertisements tailored to user attributes such as user preferences and age, and therefore can be more effective than advertisements in television broadcasts.
With advertisements in two-way communication using the Internet, users who see the advertisement can perform reactions such as a screen transition operation to refer to a link destination of the advertisement or a skip operation to interrupt display of the advertisement. Although advertisements in two-way communication using the Internet allow users to react in this way, and it is easy to understand users' evaluations of advertisements, it is difficult for advertisement producers to provide such evaluation results. The reality is that there is no effective mechanism to reflect this.
Therefore, the problem to be solved by the present invention is to construct a technical means that can reflect user evaluations of advertisements on the advertisement production side.
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention evaluates advertisements based on the user's reaction operation to the advertisements played on the mobile communication terminal when making or receiving a call.
Specifically, the present invention is an advertisement distribution system that plays advertisements on a mobile communication terminal, and is directed to a request that has purchased a distribution slot for advertisement distribution in an advertising service that reproduces advertisements on the mobile communication terminal when a call is made or received. It is an advertisement produced by a mobile communication terminal that distributes an advertisement to be played on a mobile communication terminal when a call is made or received, and an advertisement distribution unit that distributes an advertisement to be played on a mobile communication terminal when a call is made or received. The advertising evaluation department evaluates each of the multiple advertisements distributed by the advertising distribution department based on the user's reaction operation to the advertisement, and the advertisement evaluation results from the advertising evaluation department are notified to the client involved in the production of the advertisement. and an evaluation result notification unit.
According to this, it becomes possible to measure a user's evaluation of an advertisement from the user's reaction operation. Therefore, by notifying the client of the user's evaluation of the advertisement obtained through such a reaction operation, the user's evaluation of the advertisement can be reflected in the advertisement production side.
Note that the distribution frame is set according to the attributes of the user who uses the mobile communication terminal, and the advertisement distribution unit may change the advertisement distributed to the mobile communication terminal according to the attributes of the user of the mobile communication terminal. According to this, it becomes possible to distribute advertisements with contents according to user attributes.
Additionally, the distribution slot may be purchased in an auction format. According to this, a client who has purchased a distribution frame in an auction can exclusively distribute advertisements within the distribution frame.
In addition, the advertising evaluation department adds an evaluation value when at least one of the following is performed: viewing an advertisement, moving to a link displayed in an advertisement, or performing a high rating operation on an advertisement. If at least one of the low evaluation operations is performed, the evaluation value may be subtracted. According to this, it becomes possible to quantitatively measure a user's evaluation of an advertisement.
Furthermore, the present invention can also be viewed from the aspect of a method. For convenience of explanation, three terminals 4A, 4B, 4C and two base stations 2A, 2B are illustrated in FIG. 1, but it is assumed that a large number of terminals 4 and base stations 2 are arranged.
The telephone exchange equipment 5 includes a control device including a CPU (Central Processing Unit), RAM (Random Access Memory), ROM (Read Only Memory), etc., a group of communication path switches that connect and disconnect lines, and a call origination and response system. It is equipped with a detection circuit that detects the end of a call or the end of a call, and can communicate between each terminal 4A, 4B, 4C, or between a general landline telephone or mobile phone connected to another company's telephone equipment network 7 and each terminal 4A, 4B, 4C. Mainly responsible for connecting via telephone lines.
The advertisement distribution server 6 is equipped with a control device including a CPU, RAM, ROM, etc., a storage device such as a hard disk, and an input/output interface, and distributes video advertisements and evaluates distributed videos to smartphones among the terminals 4. Mainly in charge of the role. The storage device of the advertisement distribution server 6 stores video advertisements and various other data. Furthermore, the evaluation result notification unit 63 manages the process of notifying the advertisement client of the evaluation result of the video advertisement.
Hereinafter, various operations in the advertisement distribution system 1 will be explained.
<Video advertisement playback processing>
The flow of processing related to playback of a video advertisement realized in the present advertisement distribution system 1 will be explained. FIG. 3 is a diagram showing an example of a processing flow related to reproduction of a video advertisement realized by the telephone exchange facility 5. As shown in FIG.
The telephone exchange equipment 5 determines whether there is a telephone call request while the equipment is in operation (S101). The presence or absence of a telephone call request is determined by the presence or absence of a calling signal (dial signal) from any of the terminals 4A, 4B, and 4C, or by the presence or absence of a call signal (dial signal) from any of the terminals 4A, 4B, and 4C from the telephone equipment network 7 of another company. The determination is made based on the presence or absence of a calling signal to the terminal.
When the telephone exchange equipment 5 makes a negative determination in the process of step S101, it next determines whether or not mode switching is to be performed (S102). Here, mode switching refers to switching setting information on whether or not to play a video advertisement at the sender. In the following, for example, a state in which a video advertisement is played back at a sender will be referred to as an "advertisement mode", and a state in which a video advertisement is not played back at a sender will be referred to as a "non-advertisement mode". The telephone exchange equipment 5 determines whether a signal requesting mode switching is being transmitted from any one of the terminals 4A, 4B, and 4C. For example, the signal requesting mode switching may be sent from the terminal 4 through a user operation on the settings screen of an application installed on the smartphone terminal 4, or may be sent from the terminal 4 through other operations. It may be something that was sent to you. If the telephone exchange equipment 5 makes a negative determination in both step S101 and step S102, it executes the process of step S101 again.
If the telephone exchange equipment 5 makes an affirmative determination in the process of step S102, it accesses the database of the advertisement distribution server 6 and updates the setting information that defines for each user the setting of whether or not to play the video advertisement ( S103). FIG. 4 is an example of a table of setting information stored in the database of the advertisement distribution server 6. For example, as shown in FIG. 4, the database of the advertisement distribution server 6 stores a table of setting information that defines settings for each user as to whether or not to play a video advertisement. If the telephone exchange equipment 5 determines that a signal requesting mode switching is being transmitted from any one of the terminals 4A, 4B, and 4C, it sets the mode corresponding to the telephone number assigned to that terminal. Change the table to match the request and update the table.
After the telephone exchange equipment 5 completes updating the table in the process of step S103, it notifies the terminal that requested the mode switching that the mode switching has been completed (S104). By executing the series of processes from step S102 to step S104 described above, the switching process to advertising mode or non-advertising mode is completed. After notifying the completion of mode switching, the telephone exchange equipment 5 executes the process of step S101 again. Note that the series of processes from steps S101 to S104 may be executed by the advertisement distribution server 6 instead of the telephone exchange equipment 5.
Further, when the telephone exchange equipment 5 makes an affirmative determination in the process of step 101, it determines whether at least one of the destination and the origin of the telephone call is in the advertising mode (S105). The telephone exchange equipment 5 determines whether at least one of the destination and the source of the call is in the advertising mode, for example, as follows. That is, the telephone exchange equipment 5 identifies information on the telephone number of the destination from the calling signal transmitted by the terminal that is the originator of the telephone call. Further, the telephone exchange equipment 5 identifies the information on the telephone number of the caller from the information on the line assigned to the terminal that is the caller or the information specific to the terminal transmitted by the caller terminal. Then, the telephone exchange equipment 5 accesses the database of the advertisement distribution server 6 and inquires about the setting information set by the user of the specified destination and origin telephone numbers. Then, the telephone exchange equipment 5 refers to the mode setting of the user setting information of the telephone number of the destination and the source, and determines whether at least one of the destination and the source is a user who has set the advertising mode. Determine whether
(S107)。 When the telephone exchange equipment 5 makes an affirmative determination in the process of step S105, it activates a timer synchronized with the internal clock and starts measuring time (S106). Further, after starting time measurement in step S106, the telephone exchange equipment 5 causes the application of the calling terminal 4 to access the advertisement distribution server 6, and displays the video advertisement managed by the advertisement distribution server 6 on the terminal 4. It is played back on the screen (S107).
After the telephone exchange equipment 5 starts distributing the video advertisement in the process of step S107, it refers to the time of the timer activated in the process of step S106 and determines whether a certain period of time has elapsed (S108). Here, the fixed time is a time (for example, 15 seconds) arbitrarily set by the business that distributes video advertisements, and for example, the time specified in the distribution frame of the video advertisement purchased by the business. It is. This amount of time may vary depending on the general allowable amount of time that a caller is allowed to watch a video ad, or a caller who learns that the call process to the destination is temporarily restricted by the playing of a video ad. One can list general allowable times in which a call processing limit can be tolerated.
The telephone exchange equipment 5 determines whether the destination terminal is connectable after making an affirmative determination in the process of step S108 when at least a certain period of time has elapsed since the reproduction of the video advertisement started on the originating terminal. The determination process is performed (S109). The process of determining whether or not the destination terminal is connectable depends on whether the destination terminal is in a state where it can be wirelessly connected to base station A 2A, base station B 2B, or any other base station. It is done on the basis of For example, if the destination terminal is powered off, is outside the service area of the advertisement distribution system 1, or is set to airplane mode, the terminal of the A base station 2A, B base station 2B, or any other The base station also cannot communicate wirelessly with the destination terminal. In this case, since the advertisement distribution system 1 cannot detect the destination terminal, the telephone exchange equipment 5 determines that it is impossible to connect to the destination terminal. On the other hand, for example, if the destination terminal is powered on and within the service area of the advertisement distribution system 1, base station A 2A, base station B 2B, or any other base station is connected to the destination terminal. Can communicate wirelessly. In this case, the telephone exchange facility 5 determines that connection to the destination terminal is possible.
(S110)。 If the telephone exchange equipment 5 makes a negative determination in the process of step S109, it stops playing the video advertisement and then delivers a message to the originating terminal to the effect that the destination cannot be called (S110).
Further, if the telephone exchange equipment 5 makes an affirmative determination in the process of step S109, it starts a calling process to call the destination terminal (S111). The calling process is a process in which the telephone exchange equipment 5 sends a calling signal to the destination terminal. When the call process is started, the destination terminal performs an operation to notify the user of the incoming call, that is, a ringtone sounds, a vibrator is activated, or a screen is displayed to notify the user of the incoming call.
After starting the calling process in step S111, the telephone exchange equipment 5 determines whether there is a response signal from the destination terminal (S112). When the user of the destination terminal operates the terminal to respond to an incoming call, a response signal is transmitted from the destination terminal.
When the response signal is transmitted from the destination terminal and a positive determination is made in step S112, the telephone exchange equipment 5 causes the application on the terminal 4 to stop playing the video advertisement, and then connects to the originating terminal. The telephone line and the telephone line connected to the destination terminal are connected (S113). When the telephone line leading to the originating terminal and the telephone line leading to the destination terminal are connected, the user of the originating terminal and the user of the destination terminal are able to talk to each other.
The series of processes described above are realized by the collaboration between the telephone exchange equipment 5 and the video advertisement distribution unit 61 of the advertisement distribution server 6, but the advertisement distribution server 6 may perform all of them instead of the telephone exchange equipment 5. When the telephone exchange equipment 5 and the advertisement distribution server 6 cooperate to realize the above-described processing flow, it is possible to realize the distribution of video advertisements as described below.
First, a case will be described in which the mode setting of at least one of the destination and the source is advertising mode, and the destination terminal is within the service area of the advertisement distribution system 1. FIG. 5 is an example of a ladder sequence diagram realized when the mode setting of at least one of the destination and the source is advertisement mode, and the destination terminal is within the service area of the advertisement distribution system 1. be.
For example, if the mode setting of user B to whom user A attempts to make a call or the mode setting of user A is advertising mode, and user B's terminal 4B is within the service area of advertisement distribution system 1, Telephone exchange equipment 5, which receives a call request from terminal 4A that sends a call signal, causes advertisement distribution server 6 to distribute a video advertisement to terminal 4A. Then, after at least a certain period of time has elapsed since receiving the call request from the terminal 4A, the telephone exchange equipment 5 starts the call process for the terminal 4B of user B. When the telephone exchange equipment 5 determines that a response signal has been sent from the terminal 4B of user B, it stops playing the video advertisement being played on the terminal 4A, and calls the telephone connected to the terminal 4A of user A, which is the originator. The line is connected to a telephone line connected to the terminal 4B of user B, which is the destination of the call, to enable transmission and reception of voice data.
Next, a case will be described in which the mode setting of at least one of the destination and the source is advertising mode, and the destination terminal cannot be connected. FIG. 6 is an example of a ladder sequence diagram that is realized when the mode setting of at least one of the destination and the source is advertising mode, and the destination terminal cannot be connected.
For example, if user A tries to make a call, the mode setting of user C or the mode setting of user A is advertising mode, and user C's terminal 4C is unable to connect to the advertisement distribution system 1, the calling signal is sent. Telephone exchange equipment 5, which received the call request from terminal 4A, causes advertisement distribution server 6 to distribute a video advertisement to terminal 4A. Then, after at least a certain period of time has elapsed since receiving the call request from the terminal 4A, the telephone exchange equipment 5 stops playing the video advertisement being played on the terminal 4A, and stops playing the video advertisement on the terminal 4C of the user C who is the destination of the call. A message to the effect that it is not possible to call is delivered to the terminal 4A of user A, which is the originator.
According to the advertisement distribution system 1 according to the present embodiment, even if the caller makes a call, the call process is not started until a certain period of time has elapsed. Then, at least until the calling process is started, the video advertisement is played back on the caller's terminal. Therefore, even if the user at the destination of the call is quick to respond, the video is played back on the caller's terminal until at least a certain period of time has elapsed after the caller made the call. Therefore, even if a call is made to a user who responds quickly, as in the case of a system that plays an audio advertisement instead of a ringback tone played during a telephone call, it is unlikely that a video advertisement will be played. Does not occur. In addition, even if the destination terminal is in a state where it cannot connect to the telephone line, such as in airplane mode, out of service area, or power off, voice guidance indicating that the call will not be received will not be immediately played, and the caller will not be able to receive the call for at least a certain period of time. Video ads are played on devices.
With the advertisement distribution system 1 according to the present embodiment, the video advertisement distributed when making a phone call will not be played for a sufficient period of time. Therefore, it is possible to eliminate the obstacle to popularization of video advertisement distribution services caused by video advertisements not being played back sufficiently.
<Evaluation of video advertisements>
Next, processing related to the evaluation of video advertisements distributed to the terminals 4 in the advertisement distribution system 1 will be explained. FIG. 7 is a diagram showing an example of an evaluation process flow executed during playback of a video advertisement on the terminal 4. While the video advertisement is being played on the terminal 4, the advertisement distribution server 6 adds or subtracts the evaluation value of the video advertisement by executing the following processing flow. The initial value, addition value, and subtraction value of the evaluation value are initially set to appropriate values.
During the reproduction of the video advertisement on the terminal 4, the advertisement distribution server 6 determines whether, for example, the user of the terminal 4 has performed an operation (skip operation) to interrupt the reproduction of the video advertisement (S201). When a skip operation for a video advertisement is performed, it can be said that the user has given a low evaluation to the video advertisement. Therefore, when the advertisement distribution server 6 makes a negative determination in step S201, it performs an evaluation value addition process (S201A). Moreover, when the advertisement distribution server 6 makes an affirmative determination in this step S201, it performs a subtraction process of the evaluation value (S201B). As a result, the evaluation value that quantitatively represents the user's evaluation of the video advertisement becomes a value that reflects the evaluation results depending on whether or not a skip operation is performed.
Furthermore, during the reproduction of the video advertisement on the terminal 4, the advertisement distribution server 6 determines whether, for example, the user of the terminal 4 has performed an operation to refer to a link destination attached to the video advertisement (S202). The link destination attached to the video advertisement includes, for example, a web page where the product introduced in the video advertisement is posted. When a user performs an operation to refer to such a link destination from a video advertisement, it can be said that the user has an interest in the video advertisement. Therefore, when the advertisement distribution server 6 makes an affirmative determination in step S202, it performs an evaluation value addition process (S202A). Moreover, when the advertisement distribution server 6 makes a negative determination in this step S202, it performs a subtraction process of the evaluation value (S202B). As a result, the evaluation value that quantitatively represents the user's evaluation of the video advertisement becomes a value that reflects the evaluation results based on whether or not the link destination is referred to.
Furthermore, while the video advertisement is being played back on the terminal 4, the advertisement distribution server 6 determines, for example, whether the user of the terminal 4 has performed an operation to evaluate the video advertisement (S203). Examples of operations for evaluating video advertisements include pressing a "Good" button or a "Bad" button provided on the screen. If the "Good" button is pressed, it can be said that the video advertisement is highly evaluated. Furthermore, if the "Bad" button is pressed, it can be said that the video advertisement is evaluated low. Therefore, when the advertisement distribution server 6 determines that the evaluation is high in step S203, the advertisement distribution server 6 performs an evaluation value addition process (S203A). Further, when the advertisement distribution server 6 determines that the evaluation is low in step S203, the advertisement distribution server 6 performs a process of subtracting the evaluation value (S203B). As a result, the evaluation value that quantitatively represents the user's evaluation of the video advertisement becomes a value that reflects the evaluation result of the evaluation operation.
Then, the advertisement distribution server 6 determines whether the reproduction of the video advertisement on the terminal 4 is completed (S204). When the advertisement distribution server 6 makes a negative determination in this step S204, the advertisement distribution server 6 executes the processing from step S201 onwards again. Further, when the advertisement distribution server 6 makes an affirmative determination in step S204, it ends the series of processes from step S201 to step S204 in the terminal 4.
The series of processes described above are mainly realized by the video advertisement evaluation unit 62 of the advertisement distribution server 6. As described above, the user's evaluation results for the video advertisement played at the time of making and receiving calls on the terminal 4 are accumulated as quantitative values called evaluation values.
The evaluation results, such as the evaluation value accumulated for each video advertisement, are notified to, for example, the client involved in the production of the video advertisement. The evaluation value may be in the form of a notification in writing from the management company that operates the advertisement distribution system 1 to the client, or a request from the advertisement distribution server 6 through web access from the client to the advertisement distribution server 6. Automatic distribution to the owner or various other forms may be possible. The evaluation result notification unit 63 of the advertisement distribution server 6 mainly performs processing related to notification of evaluation results, such as preparing a document to notify the client, creating a web page that the client accesses, and automatically distributing the evaluation result to the client. do. The evaluation result may be, for example, in the form of an award or prize to the client involved in the production of the video advertisement. By sending such a notification to the client involved in the production of the video advertisement, it becomes possible to reflect the user's evaluation of the advertisement to the production side of the advertisement. As a result, those who were involved in the production of video advertisements for the client can obtain motivation and hints for producing better video advertisements.
<Preparation for video ad distribution>
By the way, video advertisements distributed in the advertisement distribution system 1 are, for example, made by a client who bids on a distribution frame sold at an auction held by an operating company that operates the advertisement distribution system 1, and who purchases the distribution frame by himself/herself. prepare. Therefore, the client who purchased the distribution frame can exclusively distribute video advertisements within the distribution frame. For example, the distribution frame may be sold on a national basis by day, month, time zone, etc., or regionally by day, month, time zone, etc. It may be sold according to the attributes of the target users. When distribution frames are set on a region-by-region basis, it is possible to identify in which region the terminal 4 that made and received calls is located, for example, from the installation location of the base station 2 that received the radio waves from the terminal 4. In addition, when distribution frames are set for each user attribute, the attributes of the user of the terminal 4 that made or received the call can be identified from user information (gender, age, hobbies, etc.) managed by the advertisement distribution server 6, for example. It is possible.
In addition, when distributing video advertisements with content tailored to the attributes of each user, for example, the style of the video advertisement (movie drama style, manzai style, etc.) should be categorized according to the attributes of the users to whom it is distributed. It's okay. If video advertisements are prepared by category and video advertisements in categories according to user attributes are distributed, it becomes possible to obtain favorable evaluation results for the client.
<Points awarded by viewing video advertisements>
For example, the user of the terminal 4 who viewed the video advertisement distributed by the advertisement distribution system 1 may be given points having monetary value. For example, if such points can be used at a store operated or affiliated with the advertisement distribution system 1, it is possible to motivate the user of the terminal 4 to view video advertisements. For example, the number of points earned by viewing a video advertisement may be proportional to the amount of advertising fees paid to the operator of the advertisement distribution system 1 by the client who purchased the distribution slot, or may be proportional to the amount of points earned by viewing the video advertisement. It may be proportional to the amount, or it may depend on various other factors.
<Collecting information regarding user reactions>
As described above, in the advertisement distribution system 1, the reaction of the user who viewed the video advertisement can be obtained in the processing from step S201 onwards, so it is recommended that this information is limited to the evaluation of each video advertisement individually. It can also be used as big data to observe user preferences. For example, a user who does not like a particular video advertisement played on the terminal 4 can operate the terminal 4 to set the video advertisement to non-display. If such setting operations are enabled, for example, it becomes possible to research the time from the start of distribution to each user until each user becomes bored with a specific video advertisement. If such information is obtained, the client will be able to obtain hints and motivation for producing higher quality video advertisements, for example.
<Other variations>
Note that although the above embodiment and each modification example have been described based on a video advertisement, the advertisement is not limited to a video. The above embodiment and each modification may handle still image or audio advertisements instead of moving images. Further, in the above embodiment and each modification example, the advertisement distribution system is realized using the advertisement distribution system 1 including the telephone exchange equipment 5 that mainly plays the role of connecting terminals with each other via telephone lines, but the present application discloses The advertisement distribution system is not limited to one realized using such advertisement distribution system 1. For example, when realizing the advertisement distribution system disclosed in the present application in a telephone service realized by voice packets using an IP network, various contents related to advertisements such as sound source data of voice advertisements and settings as to whether advertisements are to be distributed or not. A database storing setting information that defines settings for each user may be implemented in a data center connected to an IP network or in a server of an advertisement distribution company or the like. In addition, various configurations, such as a functional unit that controls calls between terminals, a functional unit that controls determination processing based on user setting information, and a functional unit that controls advertising distribution, are executed by a computer program by a server such as an advertising distributor. It may also be realized by
Further, in the above embodiment and each modification example, the telephone exchange equipment 5 was in charge of the calling process for calling the destination terminal, but in the advertisement distribution system realized in the above advertisement distribution system 1, the destination terminal It is not necessarily necessary to have a device that handles the calling process. For example, the advertisement distribution system implemented in the advertisement distribution system 1 may be provided with a device external to the system that manages call processing, and may permit this device to start the call processing.
