- FIG. 3 is a schematic diagram of the overall process of model data transmission according to an embodiment of the present application. As shown in Figure 3, the contents of each step are as follows:
- Step 1 The first device (such as a first terminal device) sends first capability indication information to a second device (such as a network device or a second terminal device).
- the first capability indication information is used to indicate whether the first device has a supported application.
- Step 2-1 The first device (such as a first terminal device) receives second capability indication information from a second device (such as a network device or a second terminal device).
- the second capability indication information indicates whether the second device has a supported application model. related operational capabilities.
- Step 2-2 The first device (such as a first terminal device) receives switch indication information from a second device (such as a network device or a second terminal device).
- the switch indication information is used to indicate whether the first device is allowed to start executing the application model. Functions related to operations.
- step 1 and step 2-1 are both optional steps. There may be a scenario where there is only step 1 but no step 2-1. There may also be a scenario where there is only step 2-1 but no step 1. There may also be a scenario where step 1 and Scenarios that appear in both steps 2-1.
- the step 2-1 message may be a response message to the step 1 message, or it may be a message independent of step 1. If step 2-1 and step 1 are independent messages, then the logical sequence of messages sent between step 1 and step 2-1 is not limited. At the same time, this application does not limit the relationship between step 1 and step 2-1 and other messages.
- the sending sequence of the steps shown in Figure 3 is only an example, and this application does not limit the above description.
- step 2-2 is also an optional step. If the first device does not receive the switch indication information from the second device, it can be defaulted that the first device is allowed to turn on the function of performing application model related operations; or, if the first device does not receive the switch instruction information from the second device, When the second device receives the switch indication information, the first device determines whether to enable the function of performing operations related to the application model according to the message content in step 2-1.
- the embodiments of this application do not limit the order of step 2-2 and other steps.
- Step 3a-1 The first device (such as a first terminal device) sends a third message to a second device (such as a network device or a second terminal device).
- the third message may be used to request operations related to application model data registration, and/or to request to obtain model data format control information.
- Step 3a-2 The first device (such as a first terminal device) receives a fourth message from a second device (such as a network device or a second terminal device).
- a second device such as a network device or a second terminal device.
- Steps 3a-1 and 3a-2 are optional steps, and there are three possible implementation methods:
- Implementation method 1 In the scenario where there is only step 3a-1 but no step 3a-2, at this time, the third message sent by the first terminal device does not require a response message from the network device or the second terminal device, for example: the first terminal
- the device's model registration request content will be accepted by the network device or the second terminal device, so the network device or the second terminal device does not need to respond to the model registration request of the first terminal device;
- Implementation method two In the scenario where there is only step 3a-2 but no step 3a-1, at this time, the first terminal device only passively receives the fourth message sent by the network device or the second terminal device. In this implementation method, no third message is needed.
- a terminal device sends a model registration request message. For example, the network device or the second terminal device sends the content of the fourth message as updated configuration information to the first terminal device. Then the network device or the second terminal device initiates the fourth message. It does not depend on whether the first terminal device sends the third message, because the configuration information update operation can be triggered at any time based on implementation.
- Implementation method three The scenario of step 3a-1 and step 3a-2 exists at the same time.
- the fourth message of step 3a-2 is the response message of the third message of step 3a-1.
- the first terminal device sends the third message Requesting to register model 1 and model 2, and the network device or the second terminal device replies to the first terminal device through a fourth message that only model 2 is approved for registration; or, the first terminal device sends a third message to request the registration of model 1 and model 2, The network device or the second terminal device replies to the first terminal device through the fourth message that the third message has been successfully received.
- This method implies that the registration content requested by the third message is approved by the network device or the second terminal device.
- Step 3b The first terminal device determines the information required to send the first message in a preconfigured manner or a default manner; for example, determines the model data format control information corresponding to at least one application model.
- Step 3b is optional.
- the logical relationship between step 3a (including step 3a-1 and/or step 3a-2) and step 3b may be as follows:
- Step 3a and step 3b occur at the same time, where step 3a is used to complete the application model data registration related operations, and step 3b is used to determine the model data format control information corresponding to at least one application model;
- Step 3a and step 3b occur at the same time, where step 3a is used to complete the application model data registration related operations and obtain model data format control information, or step 3a is only used to obtain model data format control information, and step 3b is used to Determine the model data format control information corresponding to at least one application model. Since steps 3a and 3b can both be used to obtain model data format control information, if the model data format control information obtained in the above two steps for the same application model data is different, Conflicts can be resolved by defining priorities. For example, the priority of the model data format control information obtained through step 3a is always higher than the model data format control information obtained through method 3b.
- the protocol may also define the scenarios in which the information obtained in step 3b is obtained.
- the model data format control information covers the content obtained in step 3a. In which scenarios the model data format control information obtained in step 3a covers the content obtained in step 3b, this application does not limit this;
- Implementation method three only step 3a, where step 3a is used to complete operations related to application model data registration and/or obtain model data format control information;
- Implementation method four only step 3b, where step 3b is used to obtain model data format control information.
- Step 4 The first device (such as a first terminal device) sends a first message to a second device (such as a network device or a second terminal device).
- the first message can be used to request downloading, adding, updating, etc. of application model data. At least one of the operations of modifying, uploading, deleting, etc.

- the second message may be a non-access stratum (NAS, Non-Access Stratum) message, an access stratum (AS, Access Stratum) message or an application model operation-specific control message.
- NAS Non-Access Stratum

- the application model data transmission configuration message is used to determine the application corresponding to the transmission. Resource configuration information required for model data.

- the first device After receiving the application model data, the first device can reorganize the received application model data.

Step 6b or step 6a can independently achieve the purpose of transmitting application model data; of course, this application does not exclude step 6a. In the scenario defined at the same time as step 6b, at this time, the second device decides whether to send the application model data through step 6a or step 6b.

- the first terminal device requests to upload data corresponding to application model 1, and when requesting, it also notifies the network device or the second terminal device that the QoS requirements corresponding to the application model 1 data are very high, then the network device or the second terminal device When configuring resources corresponding to transmission application model 1 data for the first terminal device, you can consider using a retransmission mechanism to ensure the transmission reliability of application model 1 data; conversely, the first terminal device requests to upload data corresponding to application model 2, and when requesting At the same time, the network device or the second terminal device is informed that the QoS requirements corresponding to the application model 2 data are low.
- the network device or the second terminal device may consider not using the resource when configuring the resources corresponding to the transmission of the application model 2 data for the first terminal device.

- Information 9 is supplementary information to information 8. It can provide the network device or the second terminal device with the transmission requirement information of the corresponding application model data sub-block, so that the network device or the second terminal device can configure the corresponding resource to transmit the corresponding application model data sub-block.
- the QoS requirements of each model data sub-block may be different.
- the model structure module data may be higher than other module data, so the QoS requirements of the model structure module data may be very high.
- the corresponding Transmission resources can try to use transmission methods with higher reliability; for other module data, since the QoS requirements of the data are generally relatively low, transmission methods with appropriately reduced reliability can also be considered (although the transmission reliability is reduced, the QoS requirements Still satisfied), after all, low-reliability transmission methods generally have higher transmission rates than reliable transmission methods (because they do not need to retransmit frequently).

- the second message can be used as a response message to the first message, and the second message is an optional message. In one implementation, the second message does not appear.
- the network device or the second terminal device directly configures the model data transmission resource for the first terminal device through step 6a-1 in Figure 3, because the model data transmission resource will correspond to The model data that needs to be transmitted is associated, so the model data transmission resource itself can implicitly inform the first terminal device which model data is allowed to be transmitted and which model data is not allowed to be transmitted, thereby implicitly realizing the notification function of the above-mentioned second message; in In another implementation, the second message appears and includes at least one of the above information. - model data may use different request implementation methods.
- model data storage location can be in any of the following situations:
- Part of the model data is stored in the core network equipment, and other part of the model data is stored in the access network equipment.
- the first terminal device receives the application model data sent by the network device or the second terminal device according to the resource configuration information contained in the application model data transmission configuration message. - Control message indication information the control message indication information is used to indicate whether the current control message is the last segment of the control message
- the control message segment sequence number is used to indicate which segment of the control message the current control message is.
- embodiments of the present application can divide the application model or the model digital sub-blocks in the application model into multiple segments, and send each segment using a control message.
- the network device or the second terminal device can use multiple control messages to send multiple segments of the same application model or model data sub-blocks in the same application model to the first terminal device, and in the control message Information such as the serial number of the segment is carried, so that after receiving multiple control messages, the first terminal device combines each segment into an application model or model digital sub-block. That is, the first device may reorganize the application model data received through multiple control messages according to the control message content.
- the network device divides application model 1 into 100 pieces of data (i.e., 100 application model data sub-blocks). ), and uses 100 control messages to send the 100 application model data to the first terminal device respectively.
- Each control message also includes the model identification information corresponding to the application model to which the application model data belongs (i.e., application model 1), and The serial number of the application model data in application model 1.
- the first terminal device can reorganize the 100 application model data sub-blocks belonging to application model 1 according to the model identification information and sequence number carried in each control message to obtain application model 1.
- each control message also includes control message indication information used to indicate whether the current control message is the last segment of the control message, and control message used to indicate which segment of the control message the current control message is. Segment serial numbers. Based on this information, the first terminal device that receives the control information can reorganize the application model data belonging to the same application model in the control information.
- the first device reorganizes the application model data received through multiple control messages according to the control message content, including:
- the first device reorganizes the received application model data through the NAS layer, the RRC layer, or a protocol layer dedicated to application model data reorganization.
- control message may include a NAS layer message, an RRC message, or a control message dedicated to application model data transmission.

- the first terminal device may also send a third message.
- the third message is used to request operations related to application model data registration and/or to request to obtain the application model. Data format control information.
- the third message may include at least one of the following information:
- Model identification information corresponding to at least one application model requested to be registered
- the third message may include a NAS message, an AS message, or an application model operation specific control message.
- the above-mentioned AS message can be any one of the following types of messages: RRC message, MAC CE message or UCI message.
- the above-mentioned application model operation-specific control messages may be messages specifically defined for the application model, and are used to carry control information related to executing application model operations.
- the third message is an optional message. If the third message does not exist, then the first terminal device does not need to perform additional operations before sending the first message (that is, there is no need to perform a model registration operation and/or a model data format control information acquisition request operation);
- Defining the third message can facilitate the management of model data. Take the model data sending end as a network device and the model data receiving end as a terminal device as an example. From the model data sending end, the transmission of model data also needs to occupy network device resources. Before transmitting the model data, you can go through the third message process. Determine whether the terminal device is eligible to obtain these model data; the model data sender charging policy is also one of the reasons for the introduction of the registration process. For example, after the network device receives the third message sent by the terminal device, it can determine whether the terminal device is qualified to download the corresponding application model data by checking the user subscription information stored on the network device side. The result of the qualification review can be determined through the fourth message.
- the terminal device can determine whether the network device supports the download of the corresponding application model data through the third message process, because not every network device can support it All types of model data downloads. For example, when the network device does not support application model 1 data download, even if the terminal device's own contract information allows the terminal device to download model 1 data, the network device will reject the model 1 data download sent through the third message. Registration request.
- the above-mentioned application model data registration related operations include at least one of application model data registration, application model data update registration, and application model data de-registration operations.
- the third message may include model identification information corresponding to at least one application model requesting registration; if the terminal device wishes to change the previous application model registration result, the third message may include Request to update the model identification information corresponding to at least one registered application model; if the terminal device wishes to perform a de-registration operation (unregistration operation) on a previously registered application model, the third message may include a request to de-register at least one application model. Corresponding model identification information.
- the above-mentioned application model data registration function corresponding to the third message can not only solve the problem of whether the corresponding model data can be downloaded, but also solve the problem of the format in which the corresponding model data is downloaded.
- the third message can also be used Request to obtain application model data format control information.
- the content contained in the application model data format control information will be introduced in detail later.
- Method 1 Obtained through dedicated signaling interaction between terminal equipment and network equipment
- the third message sent by the terminal device includes instruction information requesting to obtain application model data format control information. If the third message requests more than one application model to be registered, then these application models requested to be registered can be shared. An instruction message for obtaining application model data format control information. The instruction information may indicate that the terminal device requests to obtain application model data format control information corresponding to each application model that is requested to be registered. In another implementation, one or a group of application models requested to be registered is associated with an independent instruction information for obtaining application model data format control information. This method is more flexible and the granularity can be finer; because not every Application models that request registration need to obtain application model data format control information.
- the terminal device can choose not to request the corresponding application model data format control again. information. No matter how the indication information is defined above, after the network device successfully receives the registration request contained in the third message (which also contains the indication information requesting to obtain the application model data format control information), the network device can provide the terminal device with a successful message through the fourth message. Application model data format control information corresponding to the registered application model.
- the third message sent by the terminal device does not contain instruction information requesting to obtain the application model data format control information.
- the protocol default network device needs to pass the fourth message after successfully receiving the registration request contained in the third message. Provide the terminal device with application model data format control information corresponding to the successfully registered application model.
- Method 2 Obtain through preconfiguration or default method
- An example of the preconfiguration method is that the first terminal device is preparing to download the application model data 1 from the second terminal device. Before communicating with the second terminal device, the first terminal device has obtained the application corresponding to the application model data 1 through the network device registration process. Model data format control information. At this time, it can be considered that the application model data format control information corresponding to application model data 1 is configured by the network device to the first terminal device through the preconfiguration process; for another example, the first terminal device belongs to a certain network If the device is customized (such as a factory environment), then the corresponding application model data format control information can be configured to the first terminal device through factory configuration. This configuration method can also be considered as a kind of preconfiguration method.
- the protocol directly stipulates that the application model data 1 is divided into three data sub-blocks, and the sub-block identifiers are 00, 01 and 10 respectively; then, the first terminal device can obtain the corresponding application model data through the default rules of the protocol. Format control information.
- the use of priority information may be specified.
- the priority of the model data format control information obtained by the dedicated signaling interaction method (method 1) is always higher than the priority of the model data format control information obtained by the method 2.
- the network device or the second terminal device passes the method 1.
- the model data format control information is configured for the first terminal device, even if the model data format control information of the corresponding model is obtained through method 2, the first terminal device still preferentially uses the model data format control information obtained by method 1.
- the model data that the first terminal device pays attention to is only the model data format control information obtained through method 2 (the model data format control information of any model is not obtained through method 1 or although the model data format control information of some models is obtained through method 1)
- the model that the first terminal device is interested in does not have corresponding model data format control information obtained through method 1), then according to the priority information, the first terminal device can use the model data format control information obtained through method 2.
