Abstract

The invention solves the problem of leaking of lotion dispensers by using a head and chaplet design. The invention eliminates leakage during transit and adjusts to any size of a cap. The invention includes a lotion dispenser comprising a head, chaplet, a vertical rib attached to the head, an outer surface connected with the chaplet, a plurality of projections projecting outwards from the outer surface and an opening at a distal end of the head. A lotion leakage is eliminated by coupling the head with the chaplet using the vertical rib.

LOTION DISPENSER
PREAMBLE OF THE INVENTION
[001] The following complete specification particularly describes the invention and the manner in which it is performed:
FIELD OF INVENTION
[002] The embodiments described in the present disclosure relates generally to enabling a leak free, logistics friendly, and International Safe Transit Association compliant plastic lotion dispenser.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[003] Dispenser lotions are largely used for transiting liquid materials of commercial use like shampoo, conditioners, handwash, sanitisers, hair oil etc. Literature discloses a pump dispenser head has a lockdown feature to prevent unintended dispensing during shipment. Releasing the lock-down feature requires increased torque compared with typical dispensers, allowing the dispenser to be shipped with less packaging while still preventing leakage of the contents. Literature also discloses a dispensing pump capable of withstanding the rigors of & e-commerce shipping conditions is described. The pump includes a lock-down mechanism to prevent the pump actuator from extending during shipment, while a vented chaplet and an optional beaded seal proximate to the dip tube connection ensure that fluid cannot leak out of the container or the pump.
[004] Generally, every conventional 2cc lotion dispensers discussed in the literature vary in size of the cap and is normally not suitable for E. commerce I ISTA compliant requirements. Further, such dispensers leak during transit.

SUBSTITUTE SHEET (RULE 26) Hence there is a need for lotion dispenser that eliminates leakage during transit and adjusts to any size of a cap.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[005] The principal object of the invention is to enable a leak free lotion dispenser during transit.
[006] Another object of the invention is to enable a leak free attachment (i.e. dispenser) that fits any cap size of associated with a container.
[007] Another object of the invention is to eliminate use of additional resources like bubble wrap, foam and the like for packing.
[008] These and other objects and characteristics of the present invention will become apparent from the further disclosure to be made in the detailed description given below.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[009] This summary is provided to introduce a selection of concepts in a simplified form that are further described below in the Detailed Description. This summary is not intended to identify key features or essential features of the claimed subject matter, nor is it intended to be used as an aid in determining the scope of the claimed subject matter.
[0010] The invention solves the problem of leaking of lotion dispensers by using a head and chaplet design. Such design is in compliant with International Safe Transit Association and suitable for E-commerce applications. The invention eliminates leakage during transit and adjusts to any size of a cap. [0011] In some example embodiments, the invention includes a head, chaplet, a vertical rib attached to the head, an outer surface connected with the chaplet, a plurality of projections projecting outwards from the outer surface and an opening at a distal end of the head. A lotion leakage is eliminated by coupling the head with the chaplet using the vertical rib.
[0012] In some other example embodiments, the lotion leakage corresponds to outflow of the lotion, through at least one of the opening or a plurality of gaps associated with the chaplet or a plurality of gaps the head.
[0013] In some other example embodiments, the outer projections includes taper designs of certain angulation.
[0014] In some other example embodiments, the head and the chaplet includes a plastic material in at least one of hard form, soft form or semi-hard form.

The head 101 is rotatable in both clockwise and anti-clockwise direction. FIG. 1 B illustrates a perspective view of the chaplet 103 is coupled to the head 101 (while on an assembled pump). The chaplet 103 may be made of any soft plastic material such that the chaplet 103 fits with any bottle/container of any cap size. The cap 101 may comprise a plastic material for durability. The head 101 may be coupled to the chaplet 103 using the projections on outer surface ensure locking mechanism. The locking mechanism is explained in detail in further part of the disclosure.
[0024] For example, consider two different containers of 400 ml and 900 ml each. Both the containers contain shampoo and both the containers have different cap size. The lotion dispenser 100 may be fitted for both the containers. In some example embodiments, the caplet 103 may be fitted with the container. In some other example embodiments, a flexible cap may be used such that the head 101 and the chaplet 103 is fixable to any container of any cap size.
[0025] FIG. 2A illustrates a first cross sectional view of the lotion dispenser 100, according to one embodiment of the invention. In the first cross sectional view a vertical rib 201 associated with the head 101 is disclosed. The vertical rib 201 provides necessary mechanical support for the lotion dispenser 100. FIG. 2B illustrates a second cross sectional view of the lotion dispenser 100, according to one embodiment of the invention. The second cross sectional view discloses an outer surface 203A, projections 203B and an opening 205. The outer surface 203A associated with the chaplet 103 is affixed along with vertical rib 201 to the head 101. Projections 203B are present on the outer surface 203A. The projections 203B enable firm holding or locking of the lotion dispenser 100 to the container. The outer surface 203A may have a tapered design at certain angulations. In some cases, the projections 203B may be the angulations. The angulations provide necessary mechanical strength to enable firm locking mechanism such that the lotion dispenser 100 is firmly affixed to the container.
[0026] For example, consider in a transit, there exists many possibilities where the lotion stores inside may leak. The lotion may leak from the opening or through any gap associated with the outer surface 203A. The firm holding mechanism enables locking of the container with the head 101 and eliminates leaking of the lotion during transit. [0027] FIG. 3 illustrates a flowchart depicting a method, for assembling the lotion dispenser 100 according to one embodiment of the invention. In some example embodiments, at step 301, the method includes, Injection molding a head 101 , wherein the head 101 comprises a vertical rib 201 and an opening 205.
[0028] In some example embodiments, at step 303 the method includes Injection molding a chaplet 103, wherein the chaplet 103 comprises an outer surface 203 and projections 203B.
[0029] In some example embodiments, at step 305 the method includes coupling the head 101 with the chaplet 103 to eliminate lotion leakage. In some other example embodiments, the lotion leakage corresponds to outflow of the lotion, through at least one of the opening or a plurality of gaps associated with the chaplet or a plurality of gaps the head. In some other example embodiment, the coupling the of the head 101 with the chaplet 103 ensures locking mechanism enabled by the projections 203B associated with the outer surface 203A. In some other example embodiment, the outer projections 203B includes taper designs of certain angulation. In some other example embodiments, the head 103 and the chaplet 103 includes a plastic material in at least one of hard form, soft form or semi-hard form.

Claims

CLAIMS: What is claimed is:
1. A lotion dispenser (100), comprising: a head (101 ); a chaplet (103); a vertical rib (201) attached to the head (101 ); an outer surface (203A) connected with the chaplet (103); a plurality of projections (203B) projecting outwards from the outer surface (203A); and an opening (205) at a distal end of the head (101), wherein leakage of lotion is eliminated by coupling the head (101 ) with the chaplet (103) using the vertical rib (201).
2. The lotion dispenser (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each of the head (101 ), the chaplet (103), and the vertical rib (201 ) configured to eliminate the leakage of the lotion through at least one of: the opening (205), a plurality of gaps associated with the chaplet (103), or a plurality of gaps the head (101 ).
3. The lotion dispenser (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the coupling the of the head (101 ) with the chaplet (103) ensures a locking mechanism, the locking mechanism is enabled by the projections (203B) associated with the outer surface (203A).
4. The lotion dispenser (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the plurality of projections (203B) has taper design of specific angulation.
5. The lotion dispenser (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each of the head (103) and the chaplet (103) has a plastic material in at least one of hard form, soft form or semi-hard form.
6. The lotion dispenser (100) as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each of the head (103) and the chaplet (103) includes the flexible cap such that head (103) and the chaplet (103) is fixable to a container of a specific cap size.
7. A method for enabling a lotion dispenser, comprising: procuring a head (101 ) that comprises a vertical rib (201 ) and an opening (205); procuring a chaplet (103) that comprises an outer surface (203) and projections (203B); and coupling the head (101 ) with the chaplet (103) to eliminate lotion leakage.
8. The method as claimed in claim 7, wherein the lotion leakage corresponds to outflow of the lotion, through at least one of: the opening (205), a plurality of gaps associated with the chaplet (103), or a plurality of gaps the head (101 ).
9. The method as claimed in claim 7, wherein the coupling the of the head (101 ) with the chaplet (103) ensures a locking mechanism, and the locking mechanism is enabled by the projections (203B) associated with the outer surface (203A).
10. The method as claimed in claim 7, wherein each of the head (103) and the chaplet (103) has a plastic material in at least one of hard form, soft form or semihard form.
