Description

AN AUTOMATED SYSTEM FOR ENABLING CONVERSATION AMONG A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS AND A METHOD THEREOF
FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to an automated system for enabling conversation among a group of individuals and a method thereof. More particularly, the present invention relates to an automated system for enabling conversation among a group of individuals based on personal details and preferences of individuals in terms of interests, hobbies, moods, choices, beliefs, profession, and personality traits of the users/individuals.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Nowadays, advancement in technology has significantly contributed in connecting millions of people together from all across the world. Digital connection enables people to find a suitable company, make friends, find a compatible match, widen social circle, expand network, have friendly, professional and/or tech-based conversation and digital interaction. Such human interactions with like-minded people are beneficial as they help people to utilize spare time in an efficient manner, prevent day-to-day stress and deal with major changes in life.
[003] Social networking platforms are one major way through which people interact with each other from different corners of the world. Such platforms help people to gradually know each other by interacting and accordingly form a connection. Moreover, people may have meaningful conversation, make friends/connections, find a suitable match, etc. on such platforms.
[004] However, such platforms require people to invest time and efforts to know the other person completely before forming a connection. There may be a possibility of conflicts among individuals due to the differences in their preferences even after investing time and efforts. Moreover, the user may receive some unwanted requests from fake profiles which may make the user uninterested in such platforms.
[005] Many dating applications and other matchmaking systems enable instant connection between people by linking them for common interests such as games, work, relationship, and then enables people to have conversation with each other. The individuals are required to make efforts for maintaining the conversation. After investing time and efforts, people may find differences in their preferences and may not be interested in communicating further which may make the user uninterested in using such systems. [006] Therefore, there is a need for a system that facilitates conversation among a group of individuals with high probability to indulge in an effective conversation. There are several patent applications that provide a system enabling the conversation of the individuals. The United States Patent Application US 10049345 discloses a method, apparatus, and system are directed towards seeding a user's contacts for their online social network. The invention automatically recommends the user a set of seed contacts that the user may employ to invite to join their social network. The set of seed contacts may be harvested from the user's existing portal activities, as well as other sources. However, the system is configured to form a group of known contacts of the user. The system fetches the details of the user from other platforms. The system may fetch the contact details by analyzing portal activity, such as email exchanges with the user to determine a frequency of contact with the user. Other sources may include but not be limited to emails, names within an address book of the user, names within an address book of another person, a buddy list, an instant messaging list, an activity, a mailing list, an online discussion group, a membership in a category, chat group, and the like. Moreover, the system fails to provide a platform facilitating conversation among a group of new/unknown individuals with similar preferences.
[007] Another United States Patent Application US9811569 discloses techniques for identifying and presenting member profiles similar to a source member profile. The technique employs a general recommendation engine is used to extract features from member profiles, and then store the extracted features, including any computed, derived or retrieved profile features, in an enhanced member profile. In real-time, the general recommendation engine processes client requests to identify member profiles similar to a source member profile by comparing select profile features stored in the enhanced member profile with corresponding profile features of the source member profile, where the comparison results in several similarities sub-scores that are then combined in accordance with directives set forth in a configuration file. Finally, the member profiles with the highest similarities scores corresponding with the user-selected member profile are selected, and in some instances, presented to a user. However, such technique only recommends suitable profile to the user, thereby facilitating one to one conversation and fails to provide a platform facilitating interactions between an individual and a group of individuals with similar preferences.
[008] Another United States Patent Application US9563708 discloses a buddy member match feature directed to matching computer users of like interests, particularly computer users who are members of an online service provider and provide users with a chat group which is either one to one or one to many. However, the system is limited to the users that are online including users who have signed in or clicked on the match chat button within a predetermined period of time (e.g., in the last 2 minutes). The system involves forming a match on the basis of personal attributes and enabling conversation among the users. For example, the system involves majorly three steps including asking user about their hobbies, searching suitable match for the user based on the hobby of the user, and, facilitating conversation among users. The system provides user with options to select and chat with other user or enable the user to search for more individuals. However, such system forms a match based on the similarity in attributes of the users and then the users are required to make efforts for maintaining the conversation. Further, the system fails to keep the users interested in group conversation by providing multiple questions for users or arranging physical meetings and so on or connecting people who are not currently online together. Moreover, the system only connects users over common hobbies and no other criteria.
[009] Yet another United States Patent Application US9733811B2 discloses and matchmaking process and system. The method for profile matching includes receiving a plurality of user profiles, each user profile comprising traits of a respective user. The method includes receiving a preference indication for a first user profile of the plurality of user profiles. The method also includes determining a potential match user profile of the plurality of user profiles based on the preference indication for the first user profile. The method also includes presenting the potential match user profile to a second user. However, such system fails to provide a platform facilitating conversation among a group of individuals with similar preferences.
[0010] Therefore, in view of the problems associated with the state of art, there arises a need to provide an efficient system and method for enabling conversation among individuals by forming groups of individuals based on preferences of different individuals, thereby saving time and efforts of the individuals and making it easy for the individuals to have conversation with other individuals of the group.
