  1.  自動車の室内天井に配置される自動車用オーバーヘッドコンソール装置であって、
     前記室内天井に取付けられる枠体と、
     前記枠体の内側に配置された蓋体と、
     前記蓋体を開閉可能に支持する軸部と、を有し、
     前記枠体又はその近傍には、表示部が配置され、
     前記軸部は、前記蓋体から見て前記表示部の後方に位置する構造、および、アーム部を介して前記蓋体に連結された構造になっており、
     前記軸部を基点とした前記アーム部および前記蓋体の回転動作により、前記蓋体は、開閉し、その蓋体の開時には、前記軸部から該蓋体までの直線距離の範囲に生じる隙間を通じて、前記表示部の視認が可能となること
     を特徴とする自動車用オーバーヘッドコンソール装置。
