Abstract

A bone fixation device of the present invention is made of a cortical bone which can be fused with a vertebral body and has a tapered part formed from the front end to the rear side thereof to facilitate the insertion when being inserted into the vertebral body, and in a state where the device is inserted between an upper vertebral body and a lower vertebral body, the front end of the device is fused to the upper vertebral body and the rear end thereof is fused to the lower vertebral body to fuse the adjacent vertebral bodies. Therefore, the present invention can prevent a side-effect due to a metal material and eliminate the necessity for a secondary removal surgery, and enables good fusion between adjacent vertebral bodies.
