Description

SIGHTING SYSTEM FOR WEARABLE OLED SCREEN VISION EQUIPMENT FOR WEAPONS
TECHNICAL FIELD
The invention relates to a real-time sighting system for weapons, containing a wearable OLED display glass, wireless camera, rangefinder system, and a mobile application developed for this system.
PRIOR ART
Shooting sports attract the attention of many people today. The use of the weapon develops with experience after the learning process. Sighting is one of the most arduous tasks for users during shooting. Particularly, the sighting elements in weapons such as rifles and arrows cause difficulties for the users as they require special positioning with the weapon. In the studies carried out to solve this situation, the image is transferred to a screen at eye level of the user or to a screen on the gun, with wired and wireless cameras placed on the gun, allowing the user to see the target without having to take a position with the gun. Although our invention (TR2017/13066 and US10976136B2), which combines the imaging that support the user in sighting systems in the prior art with the real-time image seen by the user, solves only the problems relating to sighting based on the camera image, there is no device in the prior art that can perform many functions such as instantaneous distance to the target, locking and following a certain target, seeing the target intersection point with the sight and keeping the records of the shooting.

The invention is characterized by software (5) that processes the data it receives from the camera (2), laser rangefinder (3), and gyroscope (4) and transfers it to the OLED screen (1 ) by using at least one of the wireless data transfer protocols. The software (5), with the data it receives from the camera (2), laser rangefinder (3), and gyroscope (4), enables the user to lock the target, match the sight and target point with the markers specified on the screen, see the distance instantly, record and share the images during the locked target shooting.
When using the device, which is the subject matter of the invention, first of all, the weapon to be used (rifle, arrow, crossbow) is selected. Then, the firing rate selection can also be made. The camera (2), laser distance meter (3), and gyroscope (4) are calibrated with the software (5) according to the selection. The camera (2) is selected according to the conditions to be used and the weapon type, and then it is calibrated with the software (5). Marker selections and colors are specified for the target point and the sight. When the firing is started, the software (5) transfers the image from the camera (2) to the user, and the user selects the target and locks it over the image. The locked target is instantly followed by the laser rangefinder (3) and the distance is continuously measured and displayed to the user. The vertical and horizontal angles of the barrel of the selected weapon are taken by the software (5) with the help of the gyroscope (4) and instantly transferred to the user to view and control the overlapping process of the locked target and the sight. When the user's locked target and his sight intersect at the same point, the software (5) warns the user with the colour change of the markers on the OLED screen (1 ). The colours here are specified by the user according to his own preference. The shot is fired and the user is informed by the software (5) by calculating the shooting time of the target according to the calibrated ammo (arrow, bullet, pellet) velocity. After the shooting is completed, the same locked target can be shot again or a new target can be selected and the process is continued. In the process when the target is not locked, only the image taken from the camera (2) is transferred to the OLED screen (1 ). Images and shooting statistics of the entire shooting process are recorded by the software (5) and reported to the user, and if the user wishes, it can be shared with third parties instantly or by recording via wireless communication protocols.

Claims

CLAIMS It is a sighting system for wearable OLED display system for weapons and is characterized by the software (5) that processes the data received from the camera (2), laser rangefinder (3) and gyroscope (4), and transmits to the user, via OLED display (1 ), the distance to the locked target, the vertical and horizontal angles of the gun's barrel, the time it takes to hit the target according to the calibrated ammo (arrow, bullet, pellet) velocity after the shot is fired, and visually supports the overlapping of the locked target and the gun's barrel (sight), and thus enables the user to select and lock a specific target, and records the images and the shooting statistics during the entire shooting process.
