Abstract

The invention relates to an oven comprising a muffle (10), a terminal passage opening (14) provided at an upper part of a rear wall (12) of the muffle (10), a first mounting hole (16) and a second mounting hole (18) provided at respective opposite ends of the terminal passage opening (14), a connecting plate (20) secured to the interior of the rear wall (12) of the muffle (10) in the terminal passage opening (14), the connecting plate (20) having a first screw hole (22) and a second screw hole (26) corresponding to the first mounting hole (16) and the second mounting hole (18). The oven has a thermostat element (40) having a screw extension (44) extending from the second mounting hole (18) on the rear wall (12) of the muffle (10) to the second screw hole (26).

Description

OVEN WITH A THERMOSTAT
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a thermostat, particularly mounted to a domestic appliance particularly an oven.
PRIOR ART
A cooking appliance, such as an oven has at least one cooking chamber, may comprise at least one thermostat arranged in a chamber to control the operating temperature of the cooking device. In the prior art, there are instances where the thermostat is directly connected to a wall inside the cooking compartment, but direct wall connection of the thermostat can compromise the safety of the cooking device due to electrical issues (e.g. arc formation) that may occur in the thermostat. Additionally, the use of additional parts during thermostat assembly increases the cost.
EP2584269B1 relates to a thermostat mounting. The publication discloses a cooking device of the present invention comprises an inner compartment; a wall provided in the inner compartment; a thermostat in the bar form which measures the temperature of the inner compartment and controls working temperature of the cooking device, and which comprises a cylindrical body; and a connection unit in which the thermostat is placed. The connection unit comprises a body; a stopper extending in the form of a projection from the body; a holding lug comprising at least one hole through which the thermostat is able to pass and extending as a projection from the body; an upper holder; and a lower holder.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The object of the invention is to mount the thermostat to be used for the oven safely without the requiring of additional parts.
In order to achieve the said objective, the invention relates to an oven comprising a muffle, a terminal passage opening provided at an upper part of a rear wall of the muffle, a first mounting hole and a second mounting hole provided at respective opposite ends of the terminal passage opening, a connecting plate secured to the interior of the rear wall of the muffle in the terminal passage opening, the connecting plate having a first screw hole and a second screw hole corresponding to the first mounting hole and the second mounting hole. The oven is further comprising a thermostat element having a screw extension extending from the second mounting hole on the rear wall of the muffle to the second screw hole. Thanks to the placement of the thermostat element through the second mounting hole and onto the second screw hole, the assembly of the connecting plate is accomplished using only a single screw. This reduces production costs and increases product manufacturing speed.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the thermostat element comprises a cylindrical body and the screw extension is located at the end part of the body. Thus, the mounting process of the thermostat element through the second mounting hole and onto the second screw hole can be performed quickly.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the connection plate is in a transversely extending form. In an alternative embodiment, a vertically extending connecting plate can also be used.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, an electric heating element fixed to the connection plate from the back. The positioning of the heating resistance within the oven is ensured by its location at the rear part of the connecting plate
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, at least one terminal end located on the connection plate.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, two terminal ends are located on the connecting plate and are spaced apart from each other. In this way, the safe use of the two terminal ends without encountering any problems is ensured.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the terminal ends are aligned to extend from the connection point center and pass through the center of the terminal passage opening.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the terminal passage opening is located in alignment with the center point of the rear wall of the muffle. Therefore, when the connecting plate is positioned, the heating resistance located at the rear part is positioned within the oven in the most efficient manner. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES
In Figure 1 , the position of the thermostat element on the oven before installation is shown in perspective.
In Figure 2, the mounting position of the inventive thermostat element on the oven is shown in cross-section.
In Figure 3, the mounting position of the inventive thermostat element on the oven is shown from the front.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed explanation, the invention is explained without any limitation and only with reference to examples to better explain the subject matter.
Figure 1 shows the perspective view of the thermostat element before being mounted on the oven according to the invention. The oven includes a muffle (10) defining a cooking chamber. On a rear wall (12) of the muffle (10), a terminal passage opening (14) is located at the upper part in alignment with the center point of the rear wall (12). The terminal passage opening (14) has a transversely extending form. On the side parts of the terminal passage opening (14), spaced apart, there are a first mounting hole (16) and a second mounting hole (18). A connecting plate (20) is secured to the inner part of the rear wall (12) in the terminal passage opening (14). The connecting plate (20) has a transversely extending form. On the connecting plate (20), a first screw hole (22) and a second screw hole (26) are aligned with the first mounting hole (16) and the second mounting hole (18) respectively and are spaced apart from each other. A terminal end (24) is located on the connecting plate (20) in alignment with the center point. In the preferred embodiment, there are two terminal ends (24). An electric heating element (30) is located at the rear part of the connecting plate (20). A screw (50) is used to secure the connecting plate (20) to the inner part of the rear wall (12) in the terminal passage opening (14) by extending from the first mounting hole (16) to the first screw hole (22), and a thermostat element (40) is used to secure it by extending from the second mounting hole (18) to the second screw hole (28). In the preferred embodiment, a safety thermostat is used as the thermostat element (40). Figure 2 shows the sectional view of the mounting position of the thermostat element of the invention on the oven. The thermostat element (40) includes a cylindrical extending body (42). A screw extension (44) compatible with the second screw hole (26) is located at the end part of the body (42). The screw extension (44) is placed from the second mounting hole (18) to the second screw hole (26) and additionally, the screw (50) is placed from the first mounting hole (16) to the first screw hole (22).
Figure 3 shows the front view of the mounting position of the thermostat element of the invention on the oven. When the thermostat element (40) is placed on the second screw hole (28) by extending through the second mounting hole (18), it remains spaced apart from the terminal ends (24) located on the connecting plate (20). Similarly, when the screw (50) is placed on the first screw hole (26) by extending through the first mounting hole (16), it remains spaced apart from the terminal ends (24). In this way, it is ensured that the terminal ends (24) can be used without being exposed to any obstacles.

Claims

1- An oven comprising a muffle (10), a terminal passage opening (14) provided at an upper part of a rear wall (12) of the muffle (10), a first mounting hole (16) and a second mounting hole (18) provided at respective opposite ends of the terminal passage opening (14), a connecting plate (20) secured to the interior of the rear wall (12) of the muffle (10) in the terminal passage opening (14), the connecting plate (20) having a first screw hole (22) and a second screw hole (26) corresponding to the first mounting hole (16) and the second mounting hole (18), characterized by comprising a thermostat element (40) having a screw extension (44) extending from the second mounting hole (18) on the rear wall (12) of the muffle (10) to the second screw hole (26).
2- An oven according to claim 1 , wherein the thermostat element (40) comprises a cylindrical body (42) and the screw extension (44) is located at the end part of the body (42).
3- An oven according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the connecting plate (20) is in a transversely extending form.
4- An oven according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein a electric heating element (30) is secured to the rear part of the connecting plate (20).
5- An oven according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein at least one terminal end (24) located on the connecting plate (20).
6- An oven according to claim 5, wherein two terminal ends (24) are located on the connecting plate (20) and are spaced apart from each other.
7- An oven according to claims 5-6, wherein the terminal ends (24) are aligned to extend from the connection point (20) center and pass through the center of the terminal passage opening (14).
8- An oven according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the terminal passage opening (14) is located in alignment with the center point of the rear wall (12) of the muffle (10).
