Description

Vehicle cab rear structure
The present disclosure relates to a vehicle cab rear structure.
A vehicle cab rear structure is known in which a cab rear supported part (cabriar supported part) is provided below the rear end of a cab floor panel that defines the lower part of the vehicle compartment, and the cab supported part is supported from below by a cab mount on the vehicle body side (for example, Patent Document 1).
Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2008-100655
In a vehicle where the rear end of the seat (for example, the driver's seat) is close to the rear end of the passenger compartment, it is conceivable to extend the cab rearward in order to provide a reclining space behind the seat that allows the seat back to tilt (recline) rearward. The reclining space can also be used as a space for storing luggage.
When extending the cab rearward, in order to minimize design changes on the cab side and the vehicle body side, it is preferable to provide an extended floor panel that is cantilevered on the cab floor panel and extends further to the rear of the vehicle than the cab supported part without changing the position of the cab supported part, and that the floor surface of the rearwardly extended part of the cab behind the cab supported part is composed of the extended floor panel.
However, since the extended floor panel is cantilevered on the cab floor panel, it is difficult to ensure the strength of the rear extension of the cab.
Therefore, an object of the present disclosure is to secure the strength of the rearwardly extending portion of the cab in a vehicle in which the floor surface of the rearwardly extending portion of the cab that extends toward the rear of the vehicle from the cab supported portion is cantilevered on the cab floor panel.
In order to achieve the above object, the present disclosure provides a cab rear structure for a vehicle in which a cab supported portion supported from below by a cab mount on the vehicle body side is provided below the rear end portion of the cab floor panel, and a rear extension portion of the cab extends further to the vehicle rear than the cab supported portion, and includes an extended floor panel, a first reinforcing member, and a second reinforcing member. The extension floor panel is supported in a cantilever manner by the cab floor panel, extends rearward of the vehicle from the cab supported portion, and constitutes the floor surface of the rear extension portion of the cab.
The first reinforcing member has a first member main body and left and right first member flange portions. The first member main body has a shape in which a cut surface along the vehicle width direction opens upward, and extends in the vehicle front-rear direction along the lower surface of the vehicle front side region of the extension floor panel. The left and right first member flange portions extend in opposite directions from left and right upper edge portions on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the first member main body, and are fixed to overlap the lower surface of the vehicle front side region of the extended floor panel from below. The first member main body forms a closed cross section with the vehicle front side region of the extended floor panel.
The second reinforcing member has a second member main body and left and right second member flange portions. The second member main body has a shape in which a cut surface along the vehicle width direction opens upward, and extends in the vehicle front-rear direction along the lower surface of the vehicle rear side region of the extension floor panel. The left and right second member flange portions extend in opposite directions from left and right upper end edges on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the second member main body, and are fixed to overlap the lower surface of the vehicle rear region of the extended floor panel from below. The second member main body forms a closed cross section with the vehicle rear region of the extended floor panel.
The front end of the first reinforcing member is fixed to the cab floor panel. The rear end portion of the first reinforcing member is fixed to the front end portion of the second reinforcing member in a state in which one of the first member body and the second member body is inserted inside the other, and the left and right first member flange portions overlap the left and right second member flange portions.
With the above configuration, the load input to the extended floor panel (for example, downward load) can be efficiently transmitted from the second reinforcing member and the first reinforcing member to the cab mount on the vehicle body side via the cab floor panel and the cab supported portion. Also, the surface rigidity of the extended floor panel can be increased by the first reinforcing member and the second reinforcing member. Therefore, in a vehicle in which the floor surface of the rearwardly extending portion of the cab extending rearward of the vehicle from the cab supported portion is cantilevered by the cab floor panel, the strength of the rearwardly extending portion of the cab can be ensured.
The rear end portion of the first reinforcing member may be fixed to the front end portion of the second reinforcing member in a state in which the second member main body is inserted inside the first member main body and the left and right first member flange portions overlap the left and right second member flange portions from below.
With the above configuration, when the extended floor panel is assembled to the cab floor panel, the front end of the first reinforcing member is secured to the cab floor panel, and the second reinforcing member is secured to the lower surface of the vehicle rear side region of the extended floor panel. Then, the extended floor panel is lowered from above the cab floor panel, and the front end of the second reinforcing member is overlapped from above on the rear end of the first reinforcing member so that the second member body enters inside the first member body. By overlaying the second reinforcing member on the first reinforcing member, the extension floor panel can be positioned with respect to the cab floor panel, thereby improving assembly workability.
Further, the rear end of the first reinforcing member may be fixed to the front end of the second reinforcing member in a state in which the first member main body is inserted inside the second member main body and the left and right second member flanges overlap the left and right first member flanges from below.
In the above configuration, when the front end of the first reinforcing member is fixed to the cab floor panel and the second reinforcing member is fixed to the lower surface of the vehicle rear side region of the extended floor panel, and then the extended floor panel is assembled to the cab floor panel, for example, the second member main body may be shaped so that its front end is open. When the extension floor panel is assembled to the cab floor panel, the extension floor panel can be assembled to the cab floor panel by moving the extension floor panel toward the front of the vehicle so that the rear end of the first member body is inserted through the opening at the front end of the second member body. By inserting the rear end of the first member main body through the opening at the front end of the second member main body, the extension floor panel can be positioned with respect to the cab floor panel, thereby improving assembly workability.
According to the cab rear portion structure of the present disclosure, it is possible to ensure the strength of the rearwardly extending portion of the cab in a vehicle in which the floor surface of the rearwardly extending portion of the cab extending toward the rear of the vehicle from the cab supported portion is cantilevered on the cab floor panel.

An embodiment of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to the drawings. In the following description, the front-rear direction means the front-rear direction of the vehicle, and the left-right direction means the left-right direction when the vehicle faces forward. In the drawings, the front and rear arrows indicate the vehicle front-rear direction, the up and down arrows indicate the vertical direction, and the left and right arrows indicate the vehicle width direction. Also, the direction of each member is the direction when it is assembled to the vehicle.
As shown in FIG. 1, the cab rear portion structure according to the present disclosure is applied, for example, to a cab-over type vehicle 1 in which the cab 2 is arranged generally above the engine (not shown). The vehicle 1 includes a vehicle body frame 3 extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle on both sides in the vehicle width direction, a cab 2 tiltably supported by the vehicle body frame 3, and a cargo bed 4 supported by the rear part of the vehicle body frame 3 from below behind the cab 2. The vehicle 1 of the present embodiment is a flat-body truck with an open loading platform 4 above.
The cab 2 is formed in a box shape by a cab front surface portion 5, left and right cab side surface portions 6, a cab rear surface portion 7, a cab upper surface portion 8, and a cab lower surface portion 9, and a compartment 10 is defined inside. A front lower portion of the cab 2 is rotatably supported by the front end portion of the vehicle body frame 3 via a cab front mount 11 . Right and left cab supported parts 12 are provided on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the rear lower part of the cab 2 , and the cab supported parts 12 are supported from below by cab mounts 13 on the body frame 3 side.
The cab 2 of this embodiment has a rear extension portion 14 that extends to the rear of the vehicle from the cab supported portion 12 . The rear extension portion 14 of the cab 2 expands the passenger compartment 10 rearward of the vehicle beyond the cab supported portion 12 .
As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the cab lower surface portion 9 includes a cab floor panel 15, left and right floor underframes 16, and an extension floor panel 17. The cab floor panel 15 has a front floor portion 18, an intermediate floor portion 19 extending rearward and obliquely upward from a rear edge portion of the front floor portion 18, a rear floor portion 20 extending rearward of the vehicle from a rear edge portion of the intermediate floor portion 19, and a rear vertical surface portion 21 rising upward along the vehicle width direction from the rear edge portion of the rear floor portion 20.
The left and right floor underframes 16 are spaced apart in the vehicle width direction, extend in the vehicle front-rear direction, and are fixed to the lower surface of the cab floor panel 15 . At the rear end portions of the left and right floor underframes 16, the cab-supported portions 12 are provided. That is, the cab floor supported portion 12 is provided below the rear end portion of the cab floor panel 15 .
The extended floor panel 17 is arranged above and behind the floor rear portion 20 of the cab floor panel 15, and its front end portion is fixed to the floor rear vertical surface portion 21 of the cab floor panel 15, thereby being supported by the cab floor panel 15 in a cantilever manner. The extension floor panel 17 extends toward the rear of the vehicle from the cab 2 supported portion 12 and constitutes the floor surface of the rear extension portion 14 of the cab 2 .
The rear space 22 of the passenger compartment 10 expanded by the rear extension portion 14 of the cab 2 serves as a reclining space that allows the seat back 24 of the seat 23 attached to the floor rear portion 20 of the cab floor panel 15 to tilt rearward (make it reclinable). In addition, the rear space 22 of the passenger compartment 10 can also be used as a space for placing luggage 25 on the extended floor panel 17 .
The upper surface portion of the rear extension portion 14 of the cab 2 and the lateral side portions on both sides in the vehicle width direction are formed by the rear portion of the cab upper surface portion 8 and the rear portions of the left and right cab side portions 6 . A rear surface portion of the rear extension portion 14 is constituted by a cab rear surface portion 7 which extends upward from a rear end edge portion of the extension floor panel 17 . When manufacturing a vehicle in which the cab does not have the rear extension part 14, the extension floor panel 17 is not provided, the cab upper surface part 8 and the left and right cab side parts 6 are not extended rearward of the vehicle, and the cab rear surface part 7 is arranged to extend upward from the upper end part of the floor rear vertical surface part 21 of the cab floor panel 15. Since the vehicle 1 with the rear extension part 14 and the vehicle without the rear extension part 14 can be manufactured without changing the position of the cab supported part 12, design changes on the cab side and the vehicle body side can be kept to a minimum.
The space below the rear extension 14 of the cab 2 (below the extended floor panel 17) is used as a cargo space on the side of the cargo bed 4, and the floor surface 26 of the cargo bed 4 extends further forward of the vehicle than the cab rear surface 7 (see FIG. 1).
As shown in FIG. 3, the floor rear vertical surface portion 21 of the cab floor panel 15 is formed with a floor rear end upper surface portion 27 that bends and extends toward the rear of the vehicle from the upper edge portion of the floor rear vertical surface portion 21, and a floor rear end upper surface flange portion 28 that bends and extends downward from the rear edge portion of the floor rear end upper surface portion 27. The front end portion of the extended floor panel 17 is placed on the floor rear end upper surface portion 27 and overlaps from above, and is fixed to the floor rear end upper surface portion 27 by welding or the like.
As shown in FIGS. 2 to 6 , left and right first reinforcing members 30 and left and right second reinforcing members 40 are fixed to the lower surface of the extended floor panel 17 . The first reinforcing member 30 has a first member main body 31 , left and right first member flange portions 32 and front end flange portions 36 . The first member main body 31 has a U-shape with a cut surface along the vehicle width direction that opens upward, and integrally includes a first bottom plate portion 33 and left and right first side plate portions 34 that extend upward from both end edges of the first bottom plate portion 33 in the vehicle width direction. The left and right first member flange portions 32 extend from left and right upper edge portions on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the first member main body 31 while being bent in opposite directions. That is, the left first member flange portion 32 bends and extends leftward from the upper edge portion of the left first side plate portion 34, and the right first member flange portion 32 bends and extends rightward from the upper edge portion of the right first side plate portion 34. The left and right first member flange portions 32 overlap the lower surface of the vehicle front side region 17A of the extended floor panel 17 from below and are fixed by welding or the like. The first member main body 31 forms a closed cross section 35 with the vehicle front side region 17A of the extended floor panel 17 .
Left and right rectangular cutouts 29 through which the front ends of the left and right first reinforcing members 30 are inserted are formed in the floor rear end upper flange portion 28 of the cab floor panel 15 . The front end flange portion 36 of the first reinforcing member 30 bends and extends from the front end edge portion of the first member main body 31 and is fixed to the floor rear vertical surface portion 21 of the cab floor panel 15 from the rear of the vehicle by overlap welding or the like. That is, the front end portion of the first reinforcing member 30 is fixed to the cab floor panel 15 .
The second reinforcing member 40 has a second member main body 41 and left and right second member flange portions 42 . The second member main body 41 has a U-shaped cut surface along the vehicle width direction that opens upward, and integrally includes a second bottom plate portion 43 and left and right second side plate portions 44 that extend upward from both ends of the second bottom plate portion 43 in the vehicle width direction. The left and right second member flange portions 42 extend from left and right upper edge portions on both sides in the vehicle width direction of the second member main body 41 while being bent in opposite directions. That is, the left second member flange portion 42 bends and extends leftward from the upper edge portion of the left second side plate portion 44, and the right second member flange portion 42 bends and extends rightward from the upper edge portion of the right second side plate portion 44. The left and right second member flange portions 42 overlap the lower surface of the vehicle rear region 17B of the extended floor panel 17 from below and are fixed by welding or the like. The second member main body 41 forms a closed cross section 45 with the vehicle rear side region 17B of the extended floor panel 17 .
The outer shape of the front end of the second member main body 41 is slightly smaller than the inner shape of the rear end of the first member main body 31 . The rear end portion of the first reinforcing member 30 is fixed to the front end portion of the second reinforcing member 40 by welding or the like in a state where the second member main body 41 is inserted inside the first member main body 31, and the rear end portions of the left and right first member flange portions 32 overlap the front end portions of the left and right second member flange portions 42 from below. In this embodiment, the first bottom plate portion 33 and the second bottom plate portion 43 are vertically overlapped and fixed, and the extended floor panel 17, the first member flange portion 32, and the second member flange portion 42 are vertically overlapped and fixed.
According to this embodiment, the load (for example, downward load) input to the extended floor panel 17 can be efficiently transmitted from the second reinforcing member 40 and the first reinforcing member 30 to the cab mount 13 of the vehicle body frame 3 via the cab floor panel 15 and the cab supported portion 12. Also, the surface rigidity of the extended floor panel 17 can be increased by the first reinforcing member 30 and the second reinforcing member 40 . Therefore, in the vehicle 1 in which the floor surface of the rear extension portion 14 of the cab 2 extending rearward of the vehicle from the cab supported portion 12 is cantilevered on the cab floor panel 15, the strength of the rear extension portion 14 of the cab 2 can be ensured.
When the extended floor panel 17 is assembled to the cab floor panel 15, the front end flange portion 36 of the first reinforcing member 30 is fixed to the floor rear vertical surface portion 21 of the cab floor panel 15, and the second reinforcing member 40 is fixed to the lower surface of the vehicle rear side region 17B of the extended floor panel 17. Then, the extended floor panel 17 is lowered from above the cab floor panel 15, and the first reinforcing member is inserted so that the second member main body 41 enters inside the first member main body 31. The front end of the second reinforcing member 40 is superimposed on the rear end of the second reinforcing member 30 from above. By overlaying the second reinforcing member 40 on the first reinforcing member 30, the extension floor panel 17 can be positioned with respect to the cab floor panel 15, thereby improving assembly workability.
