Abstract

The present disclosure relates to the technical field of computers, and in particular to a method and apparatus for controlling data transmission, and a computer device and a storage medium. The method for controlling data transmission provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure comprises: in response to a request of a first user for entering a target chat room, determining the number of users in different interaction states in the target chat room, wherein the users in the different interaction states have different data transceiving permissions; determining a target interaction state from among a plurality of interaction states according to the number of users in the different interaction states in the target chat room, an upper limit of the number of users corresponding to the interaction states and a member type to which the first user belongs; and configuring the first user with the target interaction state, so that the first user performs data transceiving in the target chat room on the basis of the target interaction state.
