Abstract

The present application relates to the field of communications. Provided are a positioning configuration method, a positioning method, and a device. The positioning configuration method is applied to a core network device, and comprises: determining a terminal group for a terminal to be positioned; determining positioning configuration information or a positioning configuration information index for the terminal group; and sending, to an access network device, the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index corresponding to the terminal group, such that the access network device sends the positioning configuration information or the positioning configuration information index to the terminal group. In the embodiments of the present application, positioning information is configured for a terminal group for a terminal to be positioned, such that signaling overheads of a system can be reduced during communication and positioning processes.
