Description
PUSH-BUTTON TYPE SWITCH SYSTEM FOR GAS-BURNING STOVES
Technical Field
The present invention concerns the push-button switch system for all types of gasburning stoves and heaters, including ovens and cookers, which is used in accompany with gas-taps to apply electricity energy to ignition system.
In particular, the invention concerns a switching system that enables elimination of intermediary terminals or contacts integrated into electrical transmission cable bundles by stripping insulation coating in certain part or parts of electrical transmission cables and ensuring electrical transmission by means of direct contact through the spring, and prevention of resistance losses between the contact and cable where contacts are used.
Current State of Art
All types of gas-burning stoves, cookers, and similar products need a heat-arc energy to ignite the gas and create flame when gas-flow to system is initiated by moving gastap shaft. Ignition transformers are utilized to obtain this energy. The contacts which come into active-contact with the effect of directional movement of gas-tap shaft and the push-type switching systems which provide flow of energy by allowing energy flow to create an arc-shaped spark are used in order to provide supply voltage for the said ignition transformers.
The push-button type switching systems are activated by downward movement of gastap shaft to enable electric current to the ignition transformer when gas flow into the system starts, which use the spark generated by the transformer for the sole purpose of igniting the supplied gas.
In the push-button switching systems used in the current state of the art, upon movement of the tap shaft, the electrical circuit is completed by means of contacts or terminals integrated in the wiring harness, another contact or contacts that can be moved by the hub or the switch shaft, or one or more terminals. However, in the current
state of the art there may be deformations or other characteristic situations such as weakening in insulation or conductivity properties on the contacts between the terminals integrated to cable bundles and contacts integrated to hub or shaft. Resistance losses caused by the intermediary components integrated in the cable bundles and factors such as dust, dirt, etc. cause insulation or loss of contact between contacts and intermediary components. For this reason, the need to eliminate the problems experienced in electricity transmission has arisen.
However, in the existing systems, the lower parts of the "D" shaped gas tap shafts are notched, and gas taps with the same tap shaft diameter as the "D" form diameter and larger than the tap shaft diameter of the "D" form diameter are used. However, due to the fact that the width and depth of mentioned notches are weak, the switch shaft integrated into gas tap is bent by flexing due to pressure moment of upper part, and for this reason, the switch shaft is separated or broken from the notch of the tap. This causes problems with ignition drive. For this reason, the need to eliminate problems experienced in the integration of gas tap shaft and switch shaft arose.
As a result, existence of above-mentioned problems and inadequacy of existing solutions made it necessary to make an improvement in the relevant technical field.
Aim of Invention
The present invention concerns a push-button switching system for gas cookers, which eliminates above-mentioned disadvantages and introduces new advantages to relevant technical field.
Main purpose of the invention is to eliminate intermediary terminals or contacts integrated into electrical transmission cable bundles by stripping insulation coating in certain part or parts of electrical transmission cables and ensuring electrical transmission by means of direct contact through the spring.
Purpose of the invention is to prevent resistance losses between the contact and cable.
Another aim of the invention is to reduce production costs and to make production processes more efficient by eliminating use of contacts.
Another aim of the invention is to use washers for taps whose diameter is equal to diameter of D-shaped tap shaft and wider than diameter of tap shaft in order to prevent weakness in the structure of the notch on the tap shaft, to ensure direct drive from the gas tap button together with the tap shaft, to apply homogeneous force onto switch shaft, and in the meantime, to prevent upper part of the switch shaft from being deformed as result of stretch due to the pressing moment of upper part of the switch shaft.
In order to fulfill all the purposes mentioned above and which may arise from the detailed explanation, the invention concerns push-button switch system for all types of gas-burning stoves, including ovens and cookers, which is used on gas-cocks to create arc-form sparks with up-and-down movement to ignite the gas, which comprises of a body, a switch shaft that moves up and down in the body with the drive of the tap shaft by being associated with the tap shaft connected to the gas tap and located in the body, and an upper cover that covers the body. To that aim, the present invention foresees;
The cable passing through the body and having an insulating material stripped on its surface in order to provide electrical transmission between the ignition transformer and the spark plugs,
- A spring that moves up and down in the body with drive of the switch shaft and contacts transmission area through a small contact protrusion at the lower end for electrical transmission.
Structural and characteristic features of the invention and all its advantages will be understood more clearly thanks to the drawings given below and the detailed description written with reference to these figures. The evaluation should therefore be made by taking these figures and detailed descriptions into consideration.

Detailed Description of Invention
Preferred alternatives of the push-button switch system are given in this detailed description only for a better understanding of the subject and without posing any limiting effect.
Figure 1 represents various separate components that, when assembled, constitute push button switch system in accordance with the invention. With reference to Figure
1 , the push button switching system, in its most basic form, comprises a body (10), the cable (20) that passes through the body (10) and provides electrical transmission between the transmission area (21) on which the insulation material is stripped, the spring (30) that moves up and down inside the body (10) and directly contacts transmission area (21) for electrical transmission, the switch shaft (40) that moves up and down in the body (10) with drive of the tap shaft (M) by being associated with the tap shaft (M) connected to the gas tap and enables contact of spring (30) with transmission area (21), the washer (50) placed on the switch shaft (40) to ensure switch shaft (40) is driven by the tap shaft (M) and (40) moves up and down in a balanced manner, and and upper cover (60) that covers the body (10).
Cables (20) that provide electrical transmission between ignition transformer and spark plugs are passed through the body (10), which constitutes main structure of the push-button switching system, the subject matter of the invention. In order to provide direct electricity transmission over the cables (20), a certain part of the insulation material is stripped off to form transmission area (21).
A switch shaft (40) is positioned inside the body (10), which is associated with the tap shaft (M) connected to the gas tap and moves up and down inside the body (10) with drive of gas tap shaft (M). As seen in figures 2 and 3, a helical spring (30) in circular or conical form which moves up and down inside the body (10) by means of the up and down movement of the switch shaft (40) and directly contacts transmission area (21) for electrical transmission is located on the switch shaft (40). At the lower end of the spring (30), there is at least one contact protrusion (31) that provides direct contact with transmission area (21).
The spring (30), which directly contacts transmission area (21) on the cable (20) for electrical transmission without any intermediary components, also ensures that the switch shaft (40) is installed by moving evenly within the body (10) and that switch shaft (40) returns to its initial position when the tap shaft (M) is released.
In order for the switch shaft (40) to be driven by the tap shaft (M) and to move up and down in a balanced manner, a washer (50) with a circular outer surface is placed on the switch shaft (40) and said washer (50) is fixed on the tap shaft (M). The washer (50) has an opening (51) on its inner surface in accordance with the "D" shape of the tap shaft. The washer (50) is used on taps whose tap shaft diameter (M2) is equal to
D-shape diameter (M2) as seen in figure 4a. When tap shaft (M) is rotated on horizontal axis to ensure gas flow in the switching system, the washer (50) fixed on the tap shaft (M) with "D" shaped opening (51) rotates together with the tap shaft (M). When the washer (50) with a circular outer surface rotates simultaneously and in the same direction with tap shaft (M), the switch shaft (40) it is associated with remains fixed and it is prevented to bend or break as result of flexing.
In an alternative embodiment of the invention, as seen in figure 4b, in taps with tap shaft diameter (M2) larger than D shape diameter (M2), the switch shaft (40) can be directly associated with the tap shaft (M) without using a washer (50).
A top cover (60) is closed on the body (10), which protects push-button switching system from external factors.
In another alternative embodiment of the invention, as seen in figure 6, there may not be a contact protrusion (31) on the spring (30) in the push-button switching system, which is the subject of the invention, and in this case, a contact (70) may be provided under the spring (30) for contacting transmission area (21) on the cable (20). Said contact (70) provides direct contact with transmission area (21), which is like contact protrusion (31), without integrated intermediary elements (terminal, etc.) on the cable (20).
The operating principle of push button switching system subject matter of the invention is as follows;
For taps whose tap shaft diameter (M2) is equal to or larger than D shape diameter (M2), the washer (50) moves in the same direction as the tap shaft (M) moves in the vertical axis for the ignition process. With this drive, the switch shaft (40) moves in the downward direction, too. The spring (30) on the switch shaft (40) moves downwards with the movement of switch shaft (40) and contacts transmission area (21) on the cable (20) by means of contact protrusion (31) or in absence of it, by means of a contact (70) without integrated intermediary elements (terminal, etc.) on the cable (20), so that electrical transmission is provided between ignition transformer and the spark plugs.
