Description
TWO-COMPONENT CLIP
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a two-component clip that is used especially in air conditioning, cooling, braking, and similar systems in vehicles, for guiding, aligning, and connecting elements such as pipes, tubes, and wires to the vehicle, helping to minimize the vibrations transmitted to the components to which it is connected and preventing the components to which it is connected from slipping.
BACKGROUND
In the automotive industry, clips are widely used for installing and connecting cables, brake lines, air conditioning, cooling systems, and other similar components to the vehicle. In some applications, it is desirable to provide vibration isolation between the element mounted on the vehicle using clips and the component to which it is mounted.
For example, in the installation of air conditioning and cooling lines inside the vehicle, the mounting clips are fixed to the automobile frame and the elements such as pipes, tubes, etc. used in the air conditioning are mounted in the said section. It is aimed to minimize negative conditions such as transmitted noise, stress, and vibration when connecting the components to the vehicle and/or chassis using clips.
In the state of the art, various clip structures are used to connect the pipes used in the air conditioning and cooling system to the vehicle. The existing clips used in the jointing of the cooling pipes ensure that the jointed version of the pipe and the clip is attached to the vehicle. During this process, the clips are subjected to negative forces due to the tolerances of the connection points in the vehicle. These forces, i.e., stress, cause the clips to break.
In another state of the art, the clips that guide the pipes are subjected to stresses due to vibrations caused by the operation of the vehicle. The said clips must allow the pipe to rotate and the connection between the pipe and the clip must not be disturbed during this rotation. In the present art, during the rotation of the pipe and as a result of the vibrations, negative
conditions such as the connection between the pipe and the clip weakens over time and the clip breaks accordingly are encountered.
Invention No. US6926237, known in the literature, relates to holding structures used for guiding pipes, tubes, wires, and the like, and more particularly, the invention comprises a clip configured to dampen vibrations transmitted between the holding structure and the object to which it is attached. The invention provides a rubber-lined vibration-damping clip, including an opening in which the rubber liner is physically locked into the body of the clip.
As a result, all the above-mentioned problems have made it imperative to innovate in the relevant technical field.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a two-component clip for eliminating the above-mentioned disadvantages and bringing new advantages to the relevant technical field.
One object of the invention is to provide an embodiment that allows the pipe, tube, or similar component to which it is connected to rotate within the desired limits and prevents the clip from breaking or dislodging the component during this rotation.
One object of the invention is to provide a two-component clip that prevents the pipe, tube, or similar component to which it is connected from sliding in the direction of its length.
Another object of the invention is to combine two different materials simultaneously by using a two-component (two-color) molding method in the production of the above-mentioned and all possible purposes, and thus to obtain the clip in one go without the need for additional processing.
In order to achieve all the aforementioned objects and those that will arise from the detailed description below, the present invention is a two-component clip for connecting pipes in air conditioning, cooling, braking, and similar systems in vehicles to the vehicle, having a main body, at least one slot body provided integral to said main body, an annular slot in said slot body in which the pipe can be inserted, an inlet opening provided for the entry of the pipe into the said slot, and a clutch unit made of a material different from the main body provided on the inner wall of the slot. Accordingly, the novelty is that the clutch unit comprises a first
section and a second section defined on either side of a centerline passing through the center of the slot and extending in the direction of an entry of the pipe to the slot, the contact surface of the clutch unit in the first section defined on the side of the centerline facing the main body being greater than the contact surface in the second section defined on the other side of the centerline. Thus, a two-component clip, which provides sufficiently rigid retention of pipes, tubes, and similar components, prevents the transmission of vibrations, and prevents the displacement of the element placed in the slot, is introduced.
A possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the contact surface in the second section is provided in at least partially wavy form to reduce contact.
A possible embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the contact surface in the first section is provided in at least a partially flat form.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In this detailed description, the subject matter of the invention is explained only by means of examples that will not have any limiting effect for a better understanding of the subject matter.
Figure 1 shows the two-component clip (10) of the invention. The said two-component clip
(10) is used for joining the pipes (20) in an automotive air conditioning and cooling system. The said two-component clip (10) essentially comprises a main body (11 ) and a slot body (12) integral with the main body (11 ), provided on at least one side of the said main body
(11 )-
The slot body (12) in the integral embodiment of the said main body (11) is hollow inside. The cavity is defined as the slot (13), and the pipe (20) fits into the said slot (13) and passes through an inlet opening. There is also at least one clutch unit (15) provided on the inner wall of the slot (13). The said clutch unit (15) extends at least partially along the inner wall of the slot (13). Furthermore, the clutch unit (15) is provided in a material different from the main body.
There is a centerline (X) which is assumed to pass through the center of the slot (13) and extends in the direction of the entry direction (B) of the pipe (20) entering the slot (13). The said centerline (X) divides the clutch unit (15) into two sections. Accordingly, the side of the clutch unit (15) close to the main body (11 ) with respect to the centerline (X) is defined as a first section (I), and the other side of the centerline (X) is defined as a second section (II).
As the pipe (20) passes through the inlet opening (14), the slot body (12) moves towards the flexing direction (A) so that its distal end from the main body (11) moves away from the main body (11). With this movement in the flexing direction (A), the pipe (20) is inserted into the slot (13). The slot body (12) is both flexible enough to allow the pipe (20) to be fitted and rigid enough to hold the pipe (20) until the applied force exceeds a threshold value. After the pipe (20) is inserted into the slot (13), the slot body (12) partially grips the pipe (20). Thus, the movement of pipe (20) in the slot (13) is partially limited.
In the two-component clip (10) of the invention, the contact area of the clutch unit (15) in the first section (I) is provided in excess of the contact area in the second section (II). In a possible embodiment of the invention, in order to achieve this, at least part of the remaining part of the clutch unit (15) in the second section (II) is provided in a wavy form. Thus, the peaks of the wavy form are in contact with the pipe (20), whereas the recesses are not, thereby reducing the total contact area. On the other hand, the part of the clutch unit (15) in the first section is also provided in a substantially flat form.
With the said two-section structure, the movement of the pipe (20) in the slot (13) can be controlled as desired. In detail, the pipe (20) can be forced to rotate clockwise (sy) or counterclockwise (syt) in the slot (13). Using slot (13) on the right in Figure 2 as an example, when the pipe (20) placed in the said slot (13) is forced to rotate clockwise (sy), the forces generated due to friction are transferred to the main body (11 ). This does not pose a drawback for the invention and therefore, the pipe (20) can be held as tightly as possible due to the flat structure in the first section (I). However, when the pipe (20) is forced to rotate
counterclockwise (syt) for the said slot (13), the forces generated due to friction force the far end of the slot body (12) from the main body (11 ) to push in the flexing direction (A). In this case, as the friction force increases, the pipe (20) tends to exit the slot (13). In the solution of the invention, due to less contact in the second section (II) for the slot (13), the friction force is prevented from increasing too much when the pipe (20) rotates in the counterclockwise (syt) direction and the pipe (20) starts to rotate. Thus, the pipe (20) is prevented from dislodging. In slot (13) on the other side of the main body (11) in Figure 2, the force generation described above occurs in rotations in opposite directions.
In the two-component clip of the invention, the main body (11) and the slot body (12) are made of the same material and are structured integrally. In a possible embodiment of the invention, the main body (11) and the slot body (12) are produced using PA 66 (Polyamide 6.6) material. PA 66 is preferred for its high-impact strength, easy machining ability, and excellent mechanical properties. In the production of the clutch unit (15), an elastomer or elastomer-containing material is selected to obtain a softer structure than the main body (11 ).
In the production of the two-component clip (10) of the invention, a 2K (two-component, two- color) molding method is used. This method provides great convenience in producing two different materials at once. Two different materials, one containing polyamide and the other containing elastomer or elastomer-containing material, are fed into the mold. The main body (11 ) made of polyamide material and the slot body (12) connected to it are integral and the clutch unit (15) made of elastomer-containing material comes out of the mold integrally to the slot body (12).
The said two-component clip (10), which is developed using two different materials, both resist the conditions to which it will be exposed and prevents breakages that may occur after installation. It is ensured that the pipe (20) is kept sufficiently rigid and rotated under the desired conditions after installation with the elastomer or elastomer-containing material used on the contact surfaces. In addition, the absorption ability of the elastomer material prevents the transmission of vibration and the effects such as impact and noise that may occur due to this.
The protection scope of the invention is specified in the attached claims and cannot be limited to those described in this detailed description for illustrative purposes. It is evident that those skilled in the art may exhibit similar embodiments in light of the above-mentioned facts without drifting apart from the main theme of the invention.
