- the transfer device since the transfer device can receive diagnostic responses from a plurality of ECUs at the same time, it is necessary to secure a buffer area corresponding to the number of ECUs that can be diagnosed. As a result, the amount of memory used by the transfer device increases, which can lead to a problem of insufficient memory resources.
- the technique disclosed in Patent Literature 1 does not consider such problems at all, and there is room for improvement.
- a transfer device of the present invention is a transfer device for transferring a message from one of a plurality of electronic devices mounted on a vehicle to an external diagnostic device, wherein the plurality of electronic devices receiving from the external diagnostic device a diagnostic request that is a message from the external diagnostic device to the device; forwarding the diagnostic request to a portion of the plurality of electronic devices; After receiving a diagnostic response, which is a message, from the one electronic device and transferring it to the external diagnostic device, the diagnostic request is transferred to another electronic device different from the one electronic device. .

- the transfer device 20 sequentially transfers the diagnosis request to the ECU 18 according to the predetermined priority for each ECU 18 to be diagnosed.
- a method for determining this priority is not particularly limited. This priority may be determined in the same manner as the priority in communication arbitration performed according to the communication protocol of the in-vehicle network 3, for example.
- priority in communication arbitration is determined using CANID (identifier) and RTR.
- the order of priority for transferring the diagnosis request to the ECU 18 in step S106 may also be determined using the CANID and RTR in the same manner as the order of priority in communication arbitration.

- the transfer device 20 of the present embodiment when transferring a diagnosis request to some of the ECUs 18 , sequentially transfers the diagnosis request according to a predetermined priority for each ECU 18 .
- the transfer device 20 of the present embodiment can sequentially receive diagnostic responses from the ECU 18, there is no need to secure a buffer area for storing diagnostic responses from a plurality of ECUs 18 at the same time.
- the amount can be further restrained. Therefore, according to the present embodiment, it is possible to provide the transfer device 20 that can further suppress memory resource shortage even when diagnostic requests for a plurality of ECUs 18 are received from the external diagnostic device 10 .
- the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiments, and includes various modifications.
- the above embodiments have been described in detail in order to explain the present invention in an easy-to-understand manner, and are not necessarily limited to those having all the configurations described.
- it is possible to replace part of the configuration of one embodiment with the configuration of another embodiment and it is also possible to add the configuration of another embodiment to the configuration of one embodiment.
- each of the above configurations, functions, processing units, processing means, etc. may be realized by hardware, for example, by designing them in integrated circuits, in part or in whole.
- each of the above configurations, functions, etc. may be realized by software by a processor interpreting and executing a program for realizing each function.
- Information such as programs, tapes, and files that implement each function can be stored in recording devices such as memories, hard disks, SSDs (solid state drives), or recording media such as IC cards, SD cards, and DVDs.
- control lines and information lines indicate what is considered necessary for explanation, and not all control lines and information lines are necessarily indicated on the product. In practice, it may be considered that almost all configurations are interconnected.
