Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine elektrochemische Zelle (1), insbesondere Brennstoffzelle, umfassend eine Membran-Elektroden-Anordnung (2) mit einer Membran, die beidseits mit einem katalytischen Material beschichtet ist, wobei an die Membran-Elektroden-Anordnung (2) in zumindest einem Randbereich (3, 4) ein thermoplastisches Elastomermaterial (5) zur Randverstärkung und/oder zur Ausbildung einer Dichtungsgeometrie (6) angespritzt ist. Die Erfindung betrifft ferner einen Brennstoffzellenstapel mit mindestens einer erfindungsgemäßen elektrochemischen Zelle (1) in Form einer Brennstoffzelle sowie ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer elektrochemischen Zelle (1), insbesondere einer Brennstoffzelle.
