  • the power supply may be another form of charge storage device such as a capacitor.
  • a wall of the housing of the aerosol-generating device may be provided with the at least one air inlet.
  • the air inlet may be a semi-open inlet.
  • the semi-open inlet may be an inlet which permits air or fluid flow in one direction, such as into the device, but at least restricts, preferably prohibits, air or fluid flow in the opposite direction.
  • the semi-open inlet preferably allows air to enter the aerosol-generating device. Air or liquid may be prevented from leaving the aerosolgenerating device through the semi-open inlet.

  • the second heating element may also be formed using a metal having a defined relationship between temperature and resistivity. In such an exemplary device, the metal may be formed as a track between two layers of suitable insulating materials.
