- the second heating element is configured as a helical resistive heating coil surrounding the capillary material.
- the second heating element may also be formed using a metal having a defined relationship between temperature and resistivity. In such an exemplary device, the metal may be formed as a track between two layers of suitable insulating materials. The second heating element formed in this manner may be used to both heat and monitor the temperature of the second heating element during operation.
