Abstract
This valve is designed to fit into downhole floating equipment such as float shoe, collars, drill string and other downhole tools. Based on application, the valve could be manufactured from PDC drillable material or H2S/Sour gas compatible alloys. The valve is designed to withstand pressure up to 5000 psi and 400 deg. F. with 4-6% solid content. The total flow area for different casing and tubes sizes is designed to minimize the pressure drop and velocity across the valve. Reverse design ensure operation during running in soft formation and prevent plugging the valve. The spring is fully protected by housing built in the valve body to prevent debris from contacting. The valve outside slope angles are design to withstand high axial load and seal the valve against fluid penetration in contact with concrete or epoxy.
