Definitions

  • This invention relates to a weapon carrying apparatus, which enables machine guns and similar heavy weapons used by attaching to molle channels used in defense industry and found in steel ballistic vests, assault vests, tactical vests and military backpacks to be carried by military personnel alone and to shoot with these weapons using one hand and which provides ease of use with its rotation capability.
  • the personnel can shoot using both hands while shooting, and it causes difficulties and many disadvantages related to these difficulties regarding the carrying the weapon or ammunition in question, from one place to another.
  • Over- the- shoulder supported systems are used for the use of machine guns and similar heavy weapons. These systems, being useful for not carrying but rather for shooting support, they again require the use of two hands while shooting.
  • the weight of the weapons and ammunition carried weighs over the shoulder of the user personnel while carrying and may cause various injuries.
  • these over- the- shoulder supported systems carry the risk of tripping when the personnel enters and exits lower places and may restrict the movements of the personnel. In current situations, most of the times, belt-like apparatus that can be attached to weapons or ammunition can be used.
  • the shoulder strap apparatus restricts the user's mobility in emergencies while the user is carrying the gun. It also makes it difficult to shoot quickly during shooting or aiming when the user has to use the weapons at once. Since the shoulder strap is not fixed while the user is carrying the guns, the gun restricts the user and slows down the user's movement by moving according to the center of gravity. In the long run, while the user carries the weapons and ammunition with the shoulder strap in question, the weight of the weapons is not evenly distributed throughout the body, causing the user to get tired. While carrying these weapons with the shoulder strap, the user always has to use at least one hand to keep the weapons balanced. In addition, while the military personnel are carrying the weapons with the shoulder strap, there is a clatter due to the hitting or rubbing of the weapons against the other materials on the personnel. Such cases can cause a negative situation during military operations.

Description

WEAPON CARRYING APPARATUS
Field of Invention
This invention relates to a weapon carrying apparatus, which enables machine guns and similar heavy weapons used by attaching to molle channels used in defense industry and found in steel ballistic vests, assault vests, tactical vests and military backpacks to be carried by military personnel alone and to shoot with these weapons using one hand and which provides ease of use with its rotation capability.
The Prior Art
Today, when technology gathers steam and this progress is largely reflected on defense industry, although the human factor is tried to be removed from the operation area or the engagement environment and unmanned systems are used instead, the most important element in the sector is the human factor and power in the operation area. Some of the military personnel or security personnel charged in the military and security fields are obliged to carry weapons. Many technical equipment, weapons and ammunition-like elements are used in the field by military personnel and security forces. Among these the machine guns and similar heavy weapons take the lead. Machine guns and similarly the heavy weapons, which are one of the most effective elements in the operation field or in the gunfight environment can only be used by being carried by more than one personnel. In addition, the personnel can shoot using both hands while shooting, and it causes difficulties and many disadvantages related to these difficulties regarding the carrying the weapon or ammunition in question, from one place to another. Today, over- the- shoulder supported systems are used for the use of machine guns and similar heavy weapons. These systems, being useful for not carrying but rather for shooting support, they again require the use of two hands while shooting. Moreover, the weight of the weapons and ammunition carried, weighs over the shoulder of the user personnel while carrying and may cause various injuries. In addition, these over- the- shoulder supported systems carry the risk of tripping when the personnel enters and exits lower places and may restrict the movements of the personnel. In current situations, most of the times, belt-like apparatus that can be attached to weapons or ammunition can be used. It is not possible to ergonomically carry the apparatus like shoulder strap. Besides, the shoulder strap apparatus restricts the user's mobility in emergencies while the user is carrying the gun.
In current situations, there is an over-the- shoulder supported model as a weapon carrying support system. The over-the- shoulder supported model is more suitable for use on shooting support. The weapon carrying apparatus in the invention, which is the subject of the application, is used both during shooting and carrying. In the over-the- shoulder supported model, the use of two hands is required while shooting. As regards the weapon carrying apparatus in the invention, which is the subject of the application, it is shot with one hand. The over-the- shoulder supported model carries the risk of tripping when entering and exiting lower places. Since the size of the weapon-carrying apparatus in the invention subject to the application is quite small compared to the over- the- shoulder supported model, there is no such risk. Since the weapon-carrying apparatus in the invention, which is the subject of the application, is a mechanism that takes up very little space, the carrying is realized by placing them in the molle channels on the vests. By this means, the weaponcarrying apparatus in the invention that is the subject of the application is suitable for being used everywhere.
A weapon-carrying system is mentioned in the Turkish patent document numbered TR2019/09459 and dated 25.06.2019, which is in the recognized state of the technique. The invention given in the document in question relates to a weapon carrying system used to increase the being practical and fast movement capability of the soldier during the carrying and use of firearms. The invention is particularly related with the bridged fixed plate which enables to be fixed on the body while wearing by strap, the slide plate which helps the adjustment of the gun by sliding up and down , connected to the bridged fixed plate, the intermediate degree plate, normally vertical, which allows to be ready for shooting by being placed horizontally by creating rotational movement connected to the slide plate and the gun system which includes a weapon hanging plate, connected with the intermediate degree plate which enables to be weapon to be hung on the system.
In the invention in question, within the present status of the technique, the bridged fixed plate which enables to be fixed on the body while wearing by strap, the slide plate which helps the adjustment of the gun by sliding up and down , connected to the bridged fixed plate, the intermediate degree plate, normally vertical, which allows to be ready for shooting by being placed horizontally by creating rotational movement connected to the slide plate and the gun system which includes a weapon hanging plate, connected with the intermediate degree plate which enables to be weapon to be hung on the system are explained. The weapon carrying apparatus in the invention, which is the subject of the application, uses a completely different mechanism compared to the over-the- shoulder supported model. In the weapon-carrying apparatus in the invention, which is the subject of the application, the mechanism holding the gun works by attaching to the molies in the vests. The weapon carrying apparatus in the invention, which is the subject of the application, provides ease of use and carrying with its very small size compared to the over-the- shoulder supported model. It is difficult for one single personnel to carry a machine gun alone. With the help of the weaponcarrying apparatus in the invention, subject to the application, one personnel will be able to use a machine gun alone and with one hand during operations. With the help of the weapon-carrying apparatus in the invention, subject to the application, he will be able to move more easily from one place to another with the machine gun. It has been determined that the personnel have difficulties in carrying weapons during long-distance movements and during long-term armed guards; thus, a weapon carrying apparatus has been designed and produced in order to provide ease of carrying heavy machine guns and infantry rifles with a mechanism attached to the molle channels in steel ballistic vests, assault vests, tactical vests, and military backpacks. The weapon-carrying apparatus in the invention that is the subject of the application can be attached to the sheaths of all equipment (pistol, medical kit, radio, charger, knife) on tactical vests. It is aimed to minimize the muscle fatigue of the carrier personnel with the weapon-carrying apparatus included in the invention, which is the subject of the application.
The weapon carrying apparatus in a different implementation of the invention, which is the subject of the application, uses a completely different mechanism compared to the over-the- shoulder supported model. In the weapon-carrying apparatus in the invention, which is the subject of the application, the mechanism holding the gun works by attaching to the molies in the vests. Brief Description of the Invention
A weapon carrying apparatus as defined in the first claim and other claims depending on this claim, realized in order to achieve the object of the present invention, consists of a weapon holder, carrier wing, link bearing, link pin, and connector. First of all, the molle connection piece on the carrier wing is inserted into at least THREE channels of the molle channels on the molle of the tactical vest. When the molle connection piece on the carrier wing is passed through any molle of the tactical vest, the vest molle is placed in the molle cavity and stays fixed between the insert extension and the connection extension. The carrier joint can move horizontally with the link bearing to which it is attached. The pistol, which is connected to the link bearing with the link end can also be made to rotate around the centerline of the weapon holder through the wing mounting rod. Besides, the weapon body or grip is placed between the gripping edges in the gripper clamp in the weapon holder. The distance between the gripping edges in the gripper clamp can be adjusted to be between 38 mm and 62 mm. The gripper clamp includes gripping edge, gripping gap and wadding arm. The weapon body is placed in the gripping gap in the gripper clamp. It is ensured that the weapon or equipment placed in the gripping gap through the stemming arm is fixed by tightening the gripping edges. The movement end at the end of the wing mounting rod enables the gripper clamp to move by making angular movements in the horizontal and vertical axes. Thus, the weapon can be carried by using the weapon-carrying apparatus or used during the operation without the need for the user to use both hands.
In a different implementation of the invention, a weapon-carrying apparatus consists of a pistol holder, carrier wing, link bearing, second link pin, and insulating wedge. Firstly, the molle connecting piece on the carrier wing is inserted into at least three channels of the molle channels, the snap extension of which is on the molle of the tactical vest. When the molle connection piece on the carrier wing is passed through any molle of the tactical vest, the vest molle is placed in the molle cavity and stays fixed between the snap extension and the connection extension. The carrier joint can move horizontally at an angle of 90 degrees with the link bearing to which it is attached. In addition, through the arm bearing extension of the pistol, which is connected to the link bearing with the link end, the picatinny can be made to rotate around the central axis of the pistol. Besides, it is provided that picatinny holder rotates around its central axis by means of the arm bedding extension of the gun holder which is attached to the connection bedding with the connection end. Additionally, the passage channel located in the holder stem of the gun holder is fastened by fixing to the picatinny rail at the bottom of the gun. The picatin rail, located at the bottom of the gun, is placed in the passage channel in the holder body. The holder body can rotate around its central axis. In addition, the carrier joint in the link bearing to which the gun handle is attached makes a 90- degree rotation movement. However, the rubber wedge limits the movement of the carrier joint to the right and left as 45 degrees to the right and left. By this way, the weapon can be carried by using the weapon-carrying apparatus or used during the operation without the need for using the both hands. Detailed Description of the Invention

In the weapon-carrying apparatus (1), during assembly, the carrier wing (3) is connected from the bearing joint (3.1) to the link extension (4.2) of the link bearing (4) by passing the link pin (5). The carrier wing (3) is passed from the molle connector (3.2) to the molies in tactical vests. There is a shaft clearance (4.1) at the end of the link bearing (4) without the link extension (4.2). The link bearing (4) is connected to the weapon holder (2) by means of the link end (2.2.1) of the wing mounting rod (2.2) which is inserted into the shaft clearance (4.1). Thus, the link bearing (4) connects the carrier wing (3) with the weapon holder (2). When the link end (2.2.1) is inserted into the shaft clearance
(4.1) in the link bearing (4), it can rotate around the center axis in the shaft clearance
(4.1). Thus, it can be ensured that the weapon holder (2) rotates around its central axis within the shaft clearance (4.1). The bearing joint (3.1) on the carrier wing (3) is fixed to the molle connector (3.2) by means of connectors (6). In an embodiment of the present invention, the bearing joint (3.1), which is connected to the said molle connecting piece (3.2), can rotate in the position it is attached to. The weapon holder (2), the carrier wing (3), and the link bearing (4) are connected to each other by using link pin (5) and connectors (6) to form the weapon-carrying apparatus (1).
The use of the weapon-carrying apparatus (1) in this embodiment of the invention is carried out as follows. Firstly, the molle connector (3.2), snap extension (3.2.1) on the carrier wing (3) are passed through any molle of the tactical vest. When the molle connector (3.2) snap extension (3.2.1) on the carrier wing (3) is passed through any molle of the tactical vest, the vest molle fits into the molle cavity (3.2.2) and the mold between the snap extension (3.2.1) and the link extension (3.2.3) is fixed. The bearing joint (3.1) can move horizontally and vertically together with the link bearing (4) to which it is attached. In addition, the weapon holder (2), which is connected to the link bearing (4) with the link end (2.2.1), can be made to rotate around the central axis of the weapon holder (2) by means of the wing mounting rod (2.2). In addition, the weapon body or grip is placed between the gripping edges (2.1.1) in the gripper clamp (2.1) on the weapon holder (2). The distance between the gripping edges (2.1.1) in the gripper clamp (2.1) can be adjusted to be between 38 mm and 62 mm. It consists of a gripper clamp (2.1), a gripping edge (2.1.1), a gripping gap (2.1.2), and a wadding arm (2.1.3). The weapon body is placed in the gripping gap (2.1.2) in the gripper clamp (2.1). It is ensured that the weapon or equipment placed in the gripping gap (2.1.2) by means of a wadding arm (2.1.3) is fixed by tightening the gripping edges (2.1.1). The movement end (2.2.2) at the end of the wing mounting rod (2.2) enables the gripper clamp (2.1) to move by making angular movements in the horizontal and vertical axes. Thus, the weapon can be carried by using the weapon-carrying apparatus (1) or used during the operation without the need for the user to use both hands.
