Abstract

A heart valve holder for holding a prosthetic heart valve and a method for implanting the prosthetic heart valve are disclosed, wherein the heart valve holder comprises a hollow structure having a cross-section that mimics a shape of an annulus of the prosthetic heart valve, the hollow structure comprising an upper surface; a platform extending from at least 5 one wall of the hollow structure, the platform comprising a first connector element; and at least one anchoring element formed at the upper surface of the hollow structure, the at least one anchoring element comprising at least one anchoring hole for suturing of the prosthetic heart valve to the heart valve holder.
