Sitzmöbel (1) nach den Ansprüchen 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Oberkante (20) des Fußbrettes (6b) einer „flachen“ Bewegungskurve folgt, welche gegenüber einer von der Oberkante (20) des eingeschwenkten Fußbrettes (6b) aufgespannten Horizontalebene während der gesamten Verschwenkungsphase der Fußstütze (6) von der Sitz- in die Liegeposition ansteigend verläuft. Sitzmöbel (1) nach zumindest einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Verlängerungsbrett (6d) während der Verschwenkung des Sitzmöbels (1) zwischen der Sitz- und der Liegeposition um mehr als 90° gegenüber dem Fußbrett (6b) verschwenkt wird.
