Description

AN UNMANNED AERIAL
VEHICLE
Field of the Invention
The present invention relates to an unmanned aerial vehicle that saves energy by flying only with the thrust of water without using other energy, if desired, and provides efficient use by the extinguishing function of the water spent for operating energy in the fire zone.
The unmanned aerial vehicle flies by means of water propulsion with the arm and the center of gravity located in its fuselage and it functions in fire extinguishing by transferring the water evacuated to the fire zone during the flight.
Prior Art
Today, distribution of fire extinguishing liquid or water in forest fires or areas that are difficult to reach brings the need to control the fire before it progresses. Fire brigade trucks and personnel have difficulties to reach said difficult zones. The use of unmanned aerial vehicles has become common in fire extinguishing operations so as to reduce these difficulties.
Connecting an unmanned aerial vehicle to the hose of the fire truck and the unmanned aerial vehicle evacuating water from the air to the fire zone is disclosed in the Turkish Patent document numbered TR 2019/21693, which is a development related to the subject in the art. It is not mentioned that the unmanned aerial vehicle brings energy savings as a result of working with water in said document. A waterjet vehicle that operates by functioning with water is disclosed in the patent document numbered US 2013068895, which is a development on the subject in the art. The relevant device is a recreational device that functions with the water it receives from the sea and carries people thereon. It is not used in fire extinguishing function.
Description of the Invention
An unmanned aerial vehicle realized to achieve the aims of the present invention is illustrated in the attached figures.
In these figures;
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the inventive unmanned aerial vehicle.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the inventive unmanned aerial vehicle while working with water.
Figure 3 is a perspective view of the arm of the inventive unmanned aerial vehicle.
Figure 4 is a perspective view of another state of the arm of the inventive unmanned aerial vehicle.
The parts that constitute the inventive unmanned aerial vehicle are enumerated as follows in the attached figures:
Part numbers:
1-Unmanned aerial vehicle 2- Fuselage
3- Propeller
4- Transmission cable
5- Arm
5.1 Head
5.2 Jet
5.3 Pipe
5.4 Electronic control unit
6- Center of gravity mass
The inventive unmanned aerial vehicle (1) comprising of the following; a fuselage (2), an autopilot located in the interior of the fuselage (2) that provides the management of all electronic components in the unmanned aerial vehicle (1), at least one propeller (3) that is located in the fuselage (2) and enables the flight of the vehicle (1), a transmission cable (4) that is located in the upper part of the fuselage (2) and provides uninterrupted water transport to the unmanned aerial vehicle (1) from an external power plant or a source on the ground via an external Pipe at least one arm (5) that is located on the upper part of the fuselage (2), carries out the flight of the unmanned aerial vehicle (1 ) with the thrust of the water by continuously spraying water towards the ground a center of gravity mass (6) located in the lower part of the fuselage (2), which keeps the unmanned aerial vehicle (1) in balance by preventing it from wobble during flight, and continuously discharges water to the fire zone from the hole in the lower middle part. The inventive unmanned aerial vehicle (1) comprising of an arm (5) consisting of the following;
-jet (5.2) that is located at the head (5.1) at the end and allows the discharged water to be sprayed
- pipe (5.3) that is located on the upper part, one end connected to the water distributor in the fuselage (2) and the other end connected to the head (5.1) and which provides the water transferred from the source to be conveyed to the head (5.1)
- an electronic control unit (5.4) that is located at the bottom, is connected to the fuselage (2) and the other end to the head (5.1) and manages the discharge amount of the water with the command it receives from the autopilot during the flight.
The inventive unmanned aerial vehicle (1) can optionally fly only with batteries or only with the propulsion of water. The water discharged during the flight serves for fire extinguishing in the fire zone. The unmanned aerial vehicle (1) can be switched to flying with water propulsion power, if desired, while flying with batteries with the command given by the user from the controller. It is possible that said issue is the opposite.
While the inventive unmanned aerial vehicle (1) is flying with thrust of water, it enables the unmanned aerial vehicle (1) to fly by standing in balance by preventing the negative effects such as overturning and wobble, by means of its center of gravity (6).
The jets (5.3) on the arm (5) of the inventive unmanned aerial vehicle (1) make the vehicle (1) fly with the thrust of the water as a result of spraying water on the ground. For example, when the vehicle (1) is leaning on the left side during the flight, the degree of water discharge on the arm (5) on the right side is increased by the calculation and command of the autopilot, by the control of the electronic control unit (5.4) and the balanced flight of the vehicle (1) is ensured. The inventive unmanned aerial vehicle (1) functions when desired, without using any other energy, by flying only with the thrust of water and extinguishing the fire zone with the discharged water.
In another embodiment, the inventive unmanned aerial vehicle (1) can be used in agricultural field irrigation and similar water spraying operations. If desired, it is also possible to apply pesticides by adding pesticides to the water.
