Description

STOOL FOR WORSHIP - IZIKE
The certain forms of the body for worship rituals have been suggested, recommended and necessitated in traditional practices. Especially for the practices such as dhikr, contemplation, control and recitation, the recommendation by tradition to apply them by kneeling and sitting on the feet is the main one among them. In some Far Eastern forms, there are rituals performed by sitting on knees.
Due to the fact that our traditional way of life supports sitting cross-legged on cushions, sofas, etc. or kneeling in various ways, the body, which is accustomed to bending the knee, has also performed the actions that require kneeling without any problems. Therefore, in our history, there has not been a search for a solution in this regard among traditional practices. The sitting style, where the feet are positioned under the body, keeps the body together like a point, and facilitates the sitting for a long time without the restlessness, desire to move and discomfort caused by the fact that the limbs are far from the center of the body. Kneeling is the best sitting position for the person who is used to it in his/her lifestyle as it does not disturb the mental focus.
In today's lifestyle, the form of sitting on knees has become a very rare sitting style. Regardless of age, young or old, the number of people who want to kneel but cannot succeed is not few at all. Others find it difficult to keep on sitting on knees. For example, as the blood circulation slows down after a while, the person who sits at the head of the desk for recitation experiences numbness in his/her legs, pain in his/her smashed ankles, and aches in his/her knees. The action taken for the purpose of reading many pages is soon ended due to the unbearable pains. Also, it is not possible for a person who wants to kneel in his/her old age, although he/she has not had such a habit in his/her previous life, to do so. In this case, it becomes compulsory to move away from the kneeling style shown by the tradition, and there is tendency to the other forms. In the state of the art, there is not any material which is used for Islamic rituals and which supports kneeling. Some of the materials such as blocks and benches developed for sports practices do not have the ability to support kneeling. Others could not form the habit of use due to their multi-part and unsuitable features for practical use.
Accessories including conventional blocks, rigid wedges or slopes, supports, folded blankets and rolled up mats are inadequate in several respects. They are generally not ergonomically configured in size or shape to achieve and maintain the sitting on knees for users. A chair, armchair, or other similar surface does not provide the kneeling comfort level that the users require. Folding blankets or wrapping mat pieces to obtain a size and shape for the padding is time consuming, laborious and cumbersome, and also it does not always provide the ideal support or comfort necessary for the user.
The invention aims to remove the physiological obstacles for sitting on knees, to increase the sitting time on knees, and to be an auxiliary material for those who want to get into the habit of kneeling. The stool performed to achieve the purpose is shown in the figures below.

Figure 12. view of the stool The stool consists of 10 symmetrical surfaces. In the figures, the surfaces are numbered and their explanations are given below. Surface no. 3.1 is the main sitting area, surface no. 3.2 is slightly higher than the main sitting area and it is possible to increase the sitting height without changing the same usage style of the stool (figure 3). Surface no. 3.3 provides the highest and widest sitting position (figures 5 and 8). Since the surface no. 3.1 is inclined towards the base, it provides a space for the feet to pass through (figure 8). Since the surfaces numbered 3.1 and 3.2 are angled to each other, the flexibility of the stool is provided during sitting and it can move forward and backward with the person. Surface no. 3.4 supports sitting cross-legged (figure 10). It supports sitting at six different levels, as each surface provides different heights. Since the stool surfaces are symmetrical, it is possible to sit on any of the lower and upper surfaces. It can be used by placing cushions and pillows on the stool (figure 11 ).
The unique shape of the stool, which is the subject of the invention, its being one- piece, the fact that it does not require installation, its being symmetrical, the fact that it supports sitting on knees, it is being light, its being easy to use and the fact that its each surface supports separate sitting heights are the features that bring innovation and offer difference from known stools. It will be possible to be applied to the industry by being produced as a stool.
