Definitions
- the present invention relates to an attachment structure for a heat insulating material installed on a construction on the ground.
- Heat insulating materials are often used on the outer walls of buildings for the purpose of reducing the temperature environment and reducing the heating/cooling load in the building, and in recent years, in order to prevent heat loss from foundation portions that support buildings, heat insulating materials have sometimes been installed on side surfaces of the foundations.
- the heat insulating material is typically installed by being affixed to the wall surface, and it is therefore impossible to check between the foundation and the heat insulating material or to check inside the heat insulating material, and thus, if a path is created by a termite or the like, for example, damage may escalate without it being possible to notice the damage.
- patent literature article 1 discloses adopting an attachment structure that allows the heat insulating material to be removed.
- PATENT DOCUMENT 1 JP 2008-144369 A
- patent literature article 1 also proposes an attachment structure in which an attachment hole is bored in the foundation, and the heat insulating material is sandwiched by a plate member provided with a rod-shaped member that fits into the hole, but with this structure, holes must be bored in the foundations, and it is expected that the attachment and removal work is complicated and difficult.
- the objective of the present invention is to provide an attachment/removal structure with which a heat insulating material can be easily and simply attached and removed over the entire perimeter of a construction such as a foundation on the ground, in other words, a structure that is capable of being attached and detached.
- An attachment structure for a heat insulating material for resolving the abovementioned problem is an attachment structure for a heat insulating material installed on a foundation having a building frame of a building fixed on an upper portion thereof in a placed state, characterized in that: the attachment structure comprises a maintaining member which maintains the heat insulating material in a state of being in proximity to and facing a wall surface of the foundation that rises from the ground, and a retaining member which positions and retains the maintaining member with respect to the foundation; the maintaining member comprises a structure that is positioned on a rear surface side of the heat insulating material with respect to the foundation, and that maintains the facing state of the heat insulating material by sandwiching the same against the wall surface of the foundation; the retaining member includes an upper retaining portion which retains an upper portion of the maintaining member so as to be capable of sliding in a direction parallel to the wall surface of the foundation and so as to be non-detachable in a separating direction, and a lower
- a maintaining member sandwiching a heat insulating material that is in close face-to-face contact with a wall surface of a foundation, in a direction parallel to the wall surface of the foundation, an upper portion of the maintaining member buts against an upper retaining portion of a movement restricting structure of a retaining member, even if the upper portion attempts to rotate about a lower portion side of the maintaining member, and is thus retained in a non-detachable manner, while a lower portion of the maintaining member is retained by being placed in a non-detachable manner on a lower retaining portion of a receiving structure of the retaining member.
- the heat insulating material can be attached easily and simply to the foundation on the ground, and the heat insulating material can also be removed easily from the foundation as necessary.

- Figure 1 to Figure 3 are drawings illustrating an attachment structure for a heat insulating material, according to a first embodiment of the present invention.
- a building installed on ground E is typically constructed on a foundation F functioning as a stable support structure, and a ground beam Bf of a building frame of the building is fixed and supported in such a way as to adopt a placed state on an upper surface Fu of the foundation F.
- Heat insulating material is installed on an inside of a wall material of the building in order to reduce the influence of the outside air temperature on the interior, thereby achieving a configuration in which the interior can be maintained at a comfortable environment efficiently and inexpensively by means of air conditioning.
- heat insulating material 10 such as extruded polystyrene foam or the like is also installed on an outside surface (wall surface) Fs of the foundation F to prevent penetration (heat exchange) of the outside air temperature from a side-surface-side of the foundation F to an underfloor side thereof, thereby impairing the comfortable interior environment.
- the heat insulating material 10 is formed in a plate shape having an area covering the entire outside surface Fs, from a ground surface Eg of the ground E to the upper surface Fu of the foundation F on which the ground beam Bf of the building is installed, and in the present embodiment is fabricated as two members divided into two parts in the vertical direction, namely an upper heat insulating material 11 and a lower heat insulating material 13, and is attached to the outside surface Fs of the foundation F.
- the same are restrained by means of a front surface-side wall plate (siding) 15 so as not to become separated from the outside surface Fs of the foundation F.
- the wall plate 15 is attached to the foundation F by means of an attaching device 20 in such a way as to maintain the heat insulating material 10 (11 , 13) in a vertical attitude, and functions as a maintaining member that is maintained in a state of being in close face-to-face contact with the outside surface of the upper heat insulating material 11 , by being attached in such a way as to be positioned on a rear surface side (outside front surface side), with respect to the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, of the heat insulating material, sandwiching an upper portion of the lower heat insulating material 13 and the upper heat insulating material 11 therebetween.
- the wall plate 15 is fabricated to function as a decorative plate for improving the aesthetic properties of the outer surface of the outside surface Fs of the foundation F.
- the attaching device 20 supports an upper portion 15u of the wall plate 15 in such a way as to coincide with the upper surface Fu of the foundation F, while supporting a lower portion 15b of the wall plate 15 in the vicinity of a lower portion Fb of the foundation F, close to the ground E, and is constructed to function as a retaining member for positioning and retaining the wall plate 15 with respect to the foundation F.
- the attaching device 20 is configured from two components, namely an upper retaining portion 21 and a lower retaining portion 23, and positions and retains the upper portion 15u and the lower portion 15b of the wall plate 15 in such a way as to be inseparable from the outside surface Fs of the foundation F.
- the upper retaining portion 21 of the attaching device 20 is fabricated to have a structure provided with: a vertical portion 21v which extends in a vertical direction and is fixed in such a way as to face the outside surface Fs of an upper portion of the foundation F; a horizontal portion 21 h which extends outward, parallel to the upper surface Fu of the foundation F, from an upper edge of the vertical portion 21v, by approximately the thickness of the heat insulating material 10 and the wall plate 15; and a descending portion 21d which extends in a descending direction from a position at an outer edge of the horizontal portion 21 h that is separated from the wall plate 15.
- the upper retaining portion 21 is formed to have a length extending over the entire lateral width of the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, and is fabricated as a movement restricting structure, as discussed hereinbelow, in which a plurality of locations in the vertical portion 21v are fixed by screwing, for example, to the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, the horizontal portion 21 h projects from the upper surface Fu of the foundation F to the outside of the outside surface Fs, and the descending portion 21d is formed with an overhanging shape.
- a resilient elongate rubber material, or the like, 21 f having a circular cross section is fitted between the wall plate 15 and the descending portion 21d as a gap filling member, thereby suppressing movement of the wall plate 15 to a high degree and preventing the same becoming a noise generation source.
- the lower retaining portion 23 of the attaching device 20 is fabricated to have a structure provided with: a vertical portion (extended portion) 23v which extends in a vertical direction and is retained in such a way as to face an outside surface 13s of an upper portion of the lower heat insulating material 13; an upper horizontal portion 23h1 which extends inward in a horizontal direction, facing an upper surface 13u of the lower heat insulating material 13, from an upper edge of the vertical portion 23v; a lower horizontal portion (receiving portion) 23h2 which extends outward in a horizontal direction from a lower edge of the vertical portion 23v by approximately the thickness of the wall plate 15; and an ascending portion 23u which extends in an ascending direction, facing the wall plate 15, from an outer edge of the lower horizontal portion 23h2.
- the lower retaining portion 23 is fabricated as a plurality of components installed in a plurality of locations along the entire lateral width of the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, each being provided, at both ends on the end sides of the upper horizontal portion 23h1 , with piercing portions (fixing portions) 23p that have an acute-angled tip end and that extend in a downward direction, the piercing portions 23p functioning as structures that are fixed by being caused to pierce into the upper surface 13u of the lower heat insulating material 13 comprising extruded polystyrene foam or the like.
- the vertical portion 23v is positioned in a state facing the outside surface 13s of the lower heat insulating material 13 and suspends and supports the lower horizontal portion 23h2, and the lower horizontal portion 23h2 and the ascending portion 23u are formed into a receiving structure component having an L- shaped cross section projecting toward the outside of the outside surface 13s of the lower heat insulating material 13.
- the lower retaining portion 23 is positioned on and fixed indirectly to the foundation F side by inserting the piercing portions 23p into the upper surface 13u of the lower heat insulating material 13, but may be fabricated to have a structure that is fixed directly to the outside surface Fs of the foundation F by screwing, in the same way as with the vertical portion 21v of the upper retaining portion 21.
- the upper retaining portion 21 and the lower retaining portion 23 of the attaching device 20 are fabricated as a structure formed such that a separation gap between a lower edge portion of the descending portion 21 d and an upper edge portion of the ascending portion 23u is less than the height of the wall plate 15, to restrict movement thereof in a detaching direction, and are fabricated as a structure in which a separation gap between a lower surface of the horizontal portion 21 h and the upper edge portion of the ascending portion 23u is formed to be greater than the height of the wall plate 15, to allow the wall plate 15 to be detached by being moved upward.
- the lower retaining portion 23 of the attaching device 20 is fabricated as a plurality of components installed in a plurality of locations on the upper surface 13u of the lower heat insulating material 13, the configuration is not limited thereto, and it goes without saying that the lower retaining portion may be fabricated as one component by forming the upper horizontal portion 23h1 to match the lateral width of the lower heat insulating material 13.
- the upper retaining portion 21 of the attaching device 20 is not limited to being one component, and may be fabricated as a plurality of components that can be installed in a distributed manner in corresponding positions or unrelated positions above the lower retaining portion 23.
- the upper retaining portion 21 of the attaching device 20 can be attached by positioning the horizontal portion 21 h on the upper surface Fu of the foundation F and fixing the vertical portion 21v with screws while causing the same to face the upper portion of the outside surface Fs.
- the lower retaining portion 23 of the attaching device 20 can be attached in an integrated state in which the upper horizontal portion 23h1 covers the upper surface 13u of the lower heat insulating material 13, installed in face-to-face contact with the outside surface Fs while being positioned on the ground surface Eg of the ground E, and the vertical portion 23v is caused to face the outside surface 13s, while the piercing portions 23p are inserted into the upper surface 13u.
- the upper heat insulating material 11 can be installed on the upper surface 13u of the lower heat insulating material 13 by fitting the upper heat insulating material 11 below the horizontal portion 21 h of the upper retaining portion 21 of the attaching device 20 while bringing the same into face-to-face contact with the upper portion of the outside surface Fs of the foundation F.
- the lower heat insulating material 13 is typically installed by applying an adhesive having a termite preventing function in a continuous manner in the lateral width direction of the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, and this adhesive has an adhesion force that maintains the state of adhesion to the outside surface Fs of the foundation F without unnecessarily restricting attachment and detachment of the upper heat insulating material 11. Further, termite intrusion is prevented by also applying the adhesive having a termite preventing function in a continuous manner in the lateral width direction of the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, in a gap between the descending portion 21 d of the upper retaining portion 21 and the outside surface Fs of the foundation F.
- an upper portion of the wall plate 15 is inserted, with excess, between the descending portion 21d of the upper retaining portion 21 and the upper heat insulating material 11 , and installation can be effected with the lower portion of the wall plate 15 supported by being received on the lower horizontal portion 23h2 of the lower retaining portion 23 which is fixedly supported on the lower heat insulating material 13.
- the wall plate 15 is placed on the lower horizontal portion 23h2 of the lower retaining portion 23 of the attaching device 20 and is supported by the ascending portion 23u so as not to become disengaged, and faces outside surfaces 11s, 13s of the upper heat insulating material 11 and the lower heat insulating material 13.
- movement of the wall plate 15 is restricted as a result of an upper portion thereof, upon attempting to separate outward, butting against the descending portion 21 d of the upper retaining portion 21.
- the descending portion 21d of the upper retaining portion 21 and the ascending portion 23u of the lower retaining portion 23 function as a movement restricting structure which, in a state in which the wall plate 15 is placed on the lower horizontal portion 23h2 of the lower retaining portion 23, restricts movement thereof in a separating direction with respect to the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, thereby supporting the same in a non-detachable manner, while retaining the wall plate 15 in such a way as to be capable of sliding in the vertical direction, to the extent of the height thereof, in a parallel direction facing the outside surface Fs of the foundation F.
- the wall plate 15 can also be installed by being slid from the side in a parallel direction facing the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, and placed on the lower horizontal portion 23h2 of the lower retaining portion 23. It should be noted that by forming an opening in the horizontal portion 21 h of the upper retaining portion 21 to allow upward movement of the wall plate 15, the wall plate 15 may also be installed by being slid downward from above in a parallel direction facing the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, and placed on the lower horizontal portion 23h2 of the lower retaining portion 23.
- the wall plate 15 can thus be installed and maintained in a state of face-to-face contact with the outside surfaces 11s, 13s of the heat insulating material 10 (11 , 13) by means of the attaching device 20.
- the attaching device 20 by lifting the wall plate 15 upward to release the restriction due to the ascending portion 23u of the lower retaining portion 23, and pulling the same out from the descending portion 21d of the upper retaining portion 21 , the outside surfaces 11s, 13s of the heat insulating material 10 can be exposed, and the upper heat insulating material 11 thereof can be removed from above the lower heat insulating material 13, thereby exposing the outside surface Fs of the foundation F.
- a visual inspection of the foundation F can be performed easily by exposing the upper portion of the outside surface Fs, and if a path of termites or the like is confirmed, for example, this can be removed and maintenance such as insect repellent treatment can be performed, after which the original state can be easily restored by once again installing the upper heat insulating material 11 on the lower heat insulating material 13 and replacing the wall plate 15.
- a heat insulating material for example, Styrofoam AT manufactured by Dupont Styro Corporation
- termite-repelling properties is preferably used as the heat insulating material.
- the lower portion 15b of the wall plate 15 can be detached easily from the ascending portion 23u of the lower retaining portion 23 to perform desired maintenance work on the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, merely by sliding the wall plate 15, sandwiching the heat insulating material 10 (11 , 13) installed in close face-to-face contact with the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, upward in a direction parallel to the outside surface Fs of the foundation F, after which the lower portion 15b of the wall plate 15 can once again be attached by being supported on the lower horizontal portion 23h2.
- the attaching device 20 enables work to attach the heat insulating material 10 to the foundation F on the ground E to be performed easily and simply, and allows the heat insulating material 10 to be removed easily from the foundation F as necessary to perform desired maintenance work.
- the present embodiment is not limited thereto, and may also be employed in a case in which heat insulating material is installed on an inside wall surface of the foundation F.
- Figure 4 to Figure 6 are drawings illustrating an attachment structure for a heat insulating material, according to a second embodiment of the present invention.

- the lower horizontal portion 23h2 and the ascending portion 23u are formed integrally with the lower vertical portion 57, which also has formed therein a plurality of slits 57s that extend in a horizontal direction in such a way that the hook 55f can be inserted thereinto, while extending in a vertical direction in such a way as to face the outer surface of the upper vertical portion 55.
- a length (height) from the upper horizontal portion 23h1 that is matched to the upper surface 13u of the lower heat insulating material 13 to the lower horizontal portion 23h2 can be adjusted by selecting any of the slits 57s in the lower vertical portion 57, as illustrated in Figure 6, and catching and supporting the same on the hook 55f of the upper vertical portion 55 illustrated by the two-dot chain line in Figure 4.
- the wall plate 15 can be installed detachably on the foundation F together with the heat insulating material 10 (11 , 13) simply by matching the length, in the vertical direction, of the wall plate 15 to an adjustment spacing, corresponding to the io position at which the hook 55f is inserted into the slits 57s, from the horizontal portion 21 h of the upper retaining portion 21 to the lower horizontal portion 23h2 of the lower holding portion 53, without preparing attaching devices 50 for each wall plate 15 fabricated to match the height of the heat insulating material 10 (11 , 13).
