Abstract

The invention relates to a universal reel that allows the line-casting movement to be performed parallel to the fishing rod by means of the casting assembly. Said universal reel has an innovative feature that causes the fishing line spool to be positioned parallel to the fishing rod at the time of casting, automatically or manually, thereby improving its performance in this area, and to be positioned perpendicularly to the fishing rod at the time of reeling-in, thereby also improving its performance in this area.

[001] This patent refers to a universal reel that allows the casting set to execute the throwing movement of the line parallel to the fishing rod. With that, the universal reel presents an innovative feature that causes the fishing line spool to be positioned parallel to the fishing rod at the time of casting, automatically or manually, improving its performance at this point, and is positioned perpendicular to the rod. of fishing at the time of collection, also improving its performance at this point.

State of the Technique:

[002] The practice of fishing is widely explored by people who seek alternative leisure, but there are always doubts in choosing suitable equipment for this practice, such as choosing between a windlass or a reel, both throwing and pulling mechanisms for the fishing line. fishing.

[003] These equipment have differences both structurally and in relation to the style of fishing, with the reel being an easier-to-use equipment, ideal for beginners, recommended for lighter baits. In general, the reel has the axis of the line spool positioned parallel to the fishing rod, driven by a crank. The line collection system on the reel presents inefficiencies, as the line is arranged perpendicularly to the spool in the process, which makes its durability minimal due to torsion efforts and repetitive use due to fatigue.

[004] The reel, in turn, is a more robust piece of equipment, suitable for more experienced fishermen, in addition to being more efficient for fishing larger fish. In the reel, the spool axis is positioned perpendicular to the fishing rod, which causes the line to unwind directly during the throw, in a linear fashion, without twisting, providing greater resistance to the set. However, this system is more difficult to throw from a greater distance, due to the mechanical drag of the entire system.

[005] The screen object, on the other hand, offers effective means of changing the position of the reel from parallel to perpendicular with respect to the fishing rod, to be used in the best position both in casting and in retrieval, with adequate means so that the devanador remains active during the collection, and is disconnected from the line during the casting, reducing the drag of the set on the line, allowing longer castings and the use of lighter sets of baits.

[006] With regard to patent references, there are documents referring to reels and reels, or other means of fishing, but the devices do not present effective and agile means for their handling. Among these we can mention the document BR 1 12015012333-3 filed on 1/19/2013 by GLOBERIDE, which describes a fishing reel in which a fishing line guide body alternates between left and right side plates through rotational drive of the worm shaft and a clutch mechanism that switches the spool between a fishing line winding state and a fishing line unwinding state. However, in this model, the friction between the fishing line and the mechanism occurs during casting, which wears out the mechanism faster, due to the dirt that adheres to the line during use, which adds to the friction of the set. In addition, it needs a braking system for the set according to the thickness of the line and weight of the sinker and bait set, making the system prone to knots and entanglements, reducing the efficiency of the cast, also limiting the distance.

[007] Document BR 1 12014009187-0 filed on 9/10/2012 by FRANCES KENDRA, refers to a drum fishing reel that rotates 180 degrees, allowing the user to cast from either side of the drum. However, said model does not prevent possible twisting of the line at the time of casting, only doing the function of locking the spool in specific positions on its axis, being at 0 ^o , 90° and -90°. In this case, during the recoil in the 90° and -90° positions, the line is not in the center of the spool, as it is displaced from the central alignment of the fishing rod, since in the 90° and -90° positions the spool is laterally positioned, and the gear system does not allow centralized alignment between the spool and the line. This provision even prevents the use of a winder to distribute the line during collection.

[008] There is also document MU 8502903-3 filed on 12/27/2005 by THEODORO FRANTZ, which describes an improvement made to a windlass that works through two rotating movements, so that it has the practical functions of a reel in transverse position the fishing rod. However, the model does not have a line take-up system, and when picking up the line, the force exerted on the crank handle causes the system to be pushed downwards, leaving the rectangular grooves. In addition, it does not have a pitch assembly lock.

[009] In all documents, the device is not positioned in both positions to facilitate the throwing or pulling of the fishing line. The said set of reel and reel described, do not provide practical and easy handling functions, and also the position parallel to the fishing rod, facilitating the winding of the line.

Inventive Concept:

[010] This Universal Windlass seeks to meet the objectives of:

- prevent the line from twisting at the time of collection, this being a recurrent problem in windlasses, as it has bearings on the revolving base, which are responsible for the movement 90 degree rotation to the pitch and pull set, placing the reel parallel to the fishing rod;

- increase the traction load when collecting the line, positioning the spool in a perpendicular position to the fishing rod;

- enable the efficient performance of the devanator.

[01 1] In addition, the said universal reel makes it possible for the equipment to be used in fishing for large or medium-sized fish, avoiding higher expenses by having to buy more equipment, namely the reel and the reel for different types of fishing .

[012] Thus, the so-called universal windlass features characteristics of easy and agile handling, activated manually by the user himself.

Application field:

[013] The application of the Universal Reel is as reels for fishing with wire winding, with a rotating element and drum being fixed, during the collection of the line, braking devices for reels with acceleration.

• Allows the reel to move on its axis/spool by turning up to 90 degrees, perpendicular and parallel to the axis of the fishing rod;

• Increases the load capacity at the time of collection, since the shaft/spool is positioned perpendicular to the fishing rod;

• Because it has a deflector that works efficiently in the collection, it allows homogeneous distribution of the line on the spool, allowing its good functioning over time. In addition, the devanator can be removed from the equipment for throwing and collecting without it, this being an option to the user;

• Offers easy and practical handling, as well as maintenance and cleaning;

• It has a lock that serves to hold the handle and prevent it from moving;

• It can be used both in fishing for small and large fish;

• Improves the casting of the fishing line at greater distances, as there is no mechanical drag on both the devanador and the spool;

• Allows spool exchange for greater or lesser amount of line;

• Better efficiency of the devanator, as it does not have an endless shaft;

• Offers better resistance to water and sand, due to its constructive form where mechanical interference and friction do not influence the performance of the pitch, as it uses efficient sealing against salt water and sand, avoiding damage to the internal components. Illustrations:

Description:

[016] The Universal Windlass comprises a base structure (1) and in the base is housed the bearing (2) fixed by the screws (3). The base (1) and the parts inside are protected by a cover (4) that prevents the mechanism from being disassembled, consisting of a gear (5) connected to the pinion shaft (6) and a bearing (7) that make up the internal mechanism of said base.

[017] Superimposed on the cover (4) is a spiral gear (8) fixed in it by the nut (9), and at its ends are fixed the handles or Knob (10) through pins (1 1 ), being by them that the fisherman performs the function of collecting the fishing line. Attached to the side opposite the handles (10) is the spool (12), where the fishing line is wound, which includes the clutch cover (13).

[018] The fastener base (14) is connected to the spinner shaft (15) and the slewing bearing (16), this mechanism being responsible for rotating the pitch and traction assembly, and this movement can be automatic, using the switch (17 ), or holding the line manually. The switch (17) locks the pitch and traction assembly in the parallel and perpendicular directions in relation to the fishing rod, said switch (17) being the trigger for automatic activation.

[019] The turntable cover (18) consists of an L (19) where the gear system that transmits the movement of the handles (10) to the spool (12) and to the devanator assembly (20) is fixed. The devanador assembly (20), which is the system responsible for distributing the line on the spool (12), is driven by the spiral gear (8) which in turn drives the gear (21) moving the crankshaft (22) making the Devanador axis (23) where the guide pins (24) are fixed, and the line is positioned between said guide pins (24). [020] The sealing of the set is done bilaterally, through the sealing rings (25), in order to prevent sand and water from entering the equipment and causing damage to the gears.

Conclusion:

[021] In this way, the Universal Windlass is subsidized by unprecedented functional characteristics, therefore deserving the legal protection claimed.

Claims

1. UNIVERSAL REEL comprising the base structure (1) equipped with bearing (2) and spool (12), it is characterized by the fact that it has a fixing base (14) connected to the spinner shaft (15) and to the swivel bearing (16) to rotate the pitch and pull assembly.
