Abstract

The invention relates to an item of public furniture secured to a slab foundation by a pair of legs, which, in its initial form, is a bench similar to those found in public parks, but which can be folded out and converted into a picnic table with seats whenever a user inserts a coin and turns a key in a built-in lock so as to release a mechanism that allows the furniture item to be folded out.

TECHNICAL SECTOR

The present invention refers to a bench that can be transformed into a table for public use, as indicated by the statement of this report.

The object of the present invention whose registration is requested is a piece of furniture intended for public use. Its main use is in public squares and parks and it is distinguished by a design oriented to that end, according to which a person can (by inserting a coin and turning a key fixed in a lock of the furniture) unlock a mechanism to allow a park bench to be deployed into a standing table - nic with seats.

PREVIOUS TECHNIQUE

There is currently a similar model already patented (application number: ES20080002241U 20081031), which allows a bench to be deployed through two articulated joints on a table with seats. Said model can currently be found for sale in various stores in various countries for any user who would like to purchase it.

DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

The transformable bench that this report proposes on the one hand broadens the field of utility of a similar model already patented (mentioned in the previous part) and focuses the design of the invention, on the other hand, on a piece of furniture that can be conveniently used in Public spaces.

Specifically, what the invention proposes is a piece of furniture for public use, which remains fixed to the ground by means of a plate fixed to a foundation (at a couple of its extremities). This piece of furniture in its initial state is a bench, which has the ability to be transformed into a picnic table with seats through the voluntary action of a user placing a coin and turning a key from a lock incorporated into the piece of furniture, optimizing its use. utilization, minimizing the use of space and transforming the public space in which this invention is installed.

BEST WAY OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION

As can be seen in the previous part of the description of the drawings, a piece of furniture composed mainly of three different elements in the same piece of furniture can be seen:

- A drop-down piece of furniture anchored to the overhang at a pair of ends (9) through anchor plates (10), which in its initial form is presented as a recreational bench similar to those that exist in public parks, which can be unfolded to become a picnic table with seats through two articulated joints (3) and (6) , all of which can be seen in figures 1 and 2.

This displacement of the rack is produced through a hole in the deployable parts of the furniture, which will allow the unfolding of the furniture itself, as shown in figure 3.

- Some extensible tubes (16) fixed to the interior of the seats (1), which will function as supports for the installation of a cover as an umbrella (18) also inside the seat. These tubes are fixed vertically by turning 90 degrees and can be extended to reach a given height (when the device functions as a table with seats), allowing the installation of the cover as an umbrella (18), as shown in figures 4 and 5.

INDUSTRIAL APPLICATION

The industrial field of application of the present invention falls within the sector of the industry dedicated to the manufacture of furniture, focusing above all on the manufacture of furniture for public spaces, parks and squares.

Claims

BANKING - PUBLIC TABLE DROP-DOWN CLAIMS

1. Bench - drop-down public table armed with tubular profiles characterized by having two articulated joints (3) and (6) that will allow it to unfold to change shape.

2. Bench - a public drop-down table that, in its initial form as a park bench (fig. 1), has a seat (1) characterized by having a shorter fixed inner part and a longer fold-out outer part.

3. Bench - drop-down public table characterized by having a pair of arms (2) that extend diagonally from half the height of the back when this piece of furniture is folded like a park bench (fig. 1).

4. Bench - public drop-down table characterized by having a first articulated joint (3) at the point where the arms join the back when this piece of furniture is contained as a park bench (fig. 1).
