Abstract
The current invention discloses a robot which comprises a wrist and 3 stretch ropes, 2 of them are used for stretching armpits and legs and the other for stretching the back of foot, which performs exactly the ligament of the foot. This ropes are connected and fastened by adhesive belts embedded below the knee and above the leg. In the bottom part of this device a flexible medical insole is devised in the sole of the foot, among them reglage fastener is used which adjusts the amount of traction and size of the foot. This flexible robot is designed in a way that cashes at different connect to the muscles of the body. Traction rate can be adjusted separately in each part of it. By using this device, disabled people can walk easily.
Description
This invention relates to bio-medical engineering; More specifically, to rehabilitate disabled people who are suffering from ankle disorder
The aim of rehabilitation is to help disabled people to recover their physical sensory and neurological abilities to return to normal life. Having a sprained ankle during daily activities is very common. Loss of functional abilities in weight bearing and keeping balance after nerve injuries is being seen in abundance.
Traditional rehabilitation equipment such as plastic bands and auxiliary pumps are used to restore knee strength. In addition, physical exercises were performed manually on the patient's body to maintain balance. These kinds of equipment were so simple and the physiotherapist regularly monitored the treatment process. In the past, the medical staff had to move physical equipment and monitor the patient when doing exercises to complete the process of rehabilitation.
Nowadays rehabilitation exercises have been done by the help of the robotic devices. Assistance of repetitive and physically involved rehabilitation exercises using robotic devices not only helps eliminate the physical burden of movement therapy for the therapists, but also decreases application related costs. Moreover, robot-mediated rehabilitation therapy allows quantitative measurements of patient progress and can be used to realize customized, interactive treatment protocols.
Those who suffer from disability need especial care. Rehabilitation is a long and costly process which should be accompanied by experts. The aim of this therapeutic process is to help such people to reach the desired level of physical ability. This invention presents a kind of rehabilitation robot which helps solving movement problems in the ankle and ligament injuries to improve quality of life. This tensile tendon comprises a wrist and three tensile robes; wherein two of them used for armpit stretching and tendon injury, and the other for stretching the back of foot. This tensile rope do the same movements as foot robots and is fastened by adhesive belts below the knee and above the leg. At the bottom part, a gentle flexible insole is embedded, wherein a regale closure is used to adjust the amount of traction due to feet size. In the mentioned robot, tensile at different angles are connected to muscles and the traction rate in each part can be adjusted separately. Applying this device helps disabled people to walk in a normal way.
Congenital or biological causes , incidence of accidents or cultural and social factors may cause Physical and movement disabilities which results in many restrictions and prevent disabled people to play natural roles in their lives , that naturally causes them to be depressed and lose their confidence. Sometimes these limitations prevent them to present in communities which itself brings about other problems.
The people who suffer from downward ankle disability need to be treated in physiotherapy clinics for a long run which costs a lot. Continuous leg exercises leads to treatment of muscle injuries, tendons and ligaments. Restoring abilities of normal walking help them to believe themselves and improve their life quality.
To help disabled people who suffer from ankle disabilities the tensile robot is invented. This device exactly moves like ligaments, it strengthens foot muscles and cause blood circulation which prevents feet pins and needles to help users walk normally.
This device benefits from different advantages such as:
Helping disabled people to eliminate their anxiety and stress and present in the society with confidence.
No need to consume too much energy for normal walking
This system is so user- friendly and is washable.
This device is simple, compact, portable and provides good adoption to different shoe sizes.
This invention presents a tensile robot to help people suffering from ankle disability .The invention comprises :
–Shoe insole
–Ankle belt
-Below the knee belt
–Connecting strips
–Reglage fastener
[Fig.2 is another part of the device which contains reglage fastener.
To best understanding of the present invention, specific details are set forth herein. Those skilled in the art will readily appreciate that particular related description given here to eliminate any vague.
In one embodiment, a wrist and 3 ropes are showed, wherein 2 of these ropes are used to stretch the legs on the sides and the laps. And the other one is used for stretching the legs on the back. This part exactly imitate tendon movements and is attached by adhesive belts and connecting strips. In the lower part of the device, a flexible insole1 is devised.
In the other embodiment, another view which is used to adjust the amount of elongation and shoe size, is depicted.
This most important application of this invention is for disabled people who need special care and rehabilitation in ankles. This device will be available in drug stores, rehabilitation centers and medical equipment stores.
Claims (11)
- This invention presents an ankle tensile robot which is so practical for people who suffer from ankle damage. It comprises a wrist wherein three ropes, for muscle stretching are connected. Among the ropes the regulate closure is used to adjust amount of in proportion due to foot size. This device is shaped in a form wherein the bent part of the foot is of tensile and is connected to another adhesive belt , above the leg. These 2 embodiments are connected by 2 adhesive belts. A soft insole is placed in the sole of foot and is stretched on the legs with elastic bands to connect to the main tensile which moves from the foot to attach the adhesive belt of the leg. A series of strips are also attached to the belt from the back of leg, which are at different angles to the body muscles. On the other hand, their opening is in adhesive form.
- The system of claim1, wherein the whole size of its stretching arms are of tensile.
- The system of claim1, wherein the tensile robot can be adjusted to the user shoe size and is available in 20-35-5 sizes.
- The system of claim1, wherein the below ankle connecting part is made of cash and is so flexible that the user doesn't feel the existence of this part.
- The system of claim1, wherein the reglage fastener connects to the wrist to the medical insole and is flexible in different sizes.
- The system of claim1, wherein the medical insole is stretched by its connecting strips to the user's shoe.
- The system of claim1, further comprising:
- The embedded strips of the said robot imitate the exact movements of the foot ligaments and let the driver keep on driving even in long distances.
- The system of claim 1, wherein the exercises make the leg ligaments strong and cause blood circulation to prevent pins and needles.
- The system of claim1, wherein the disabled people are able to do exercises for a long time without feeling tired.
