  • the invention relates to a plate that is used for stable fixation of the fractures that occurred after hip or knee prosthesis such that it encompasses the entire femur.
  • the first problem encountered with known implants used in the fixation of periprosthetic fractures is that they have not been specifically developed for these fractures. Implants developed for the treatment of fractures caused by primary trauma make stable fracture fixation difficult.
  • the technical problem in the fixation of Periprosthetic fractures which may occur traumatically due to causes such as falling or hitting, is the lack of enough space for screw fixation since there is a prosthesis inside the bone. Cable fixation can be performed over the plate in various implants developed for this problem. However, sometimes these can also be insufficient in the extension along the entire femur. Also, fixation of the trochanter major, which is the uppermost part of the femur bone, may be insufficient.
