The invention relates to a smart pin shield that can be operated, monitored and managed online to prevent any other person or persons other than the real user or a video camera from seeing this password while entering a password on the ATM's keypad. A smart pin shield that alerts the ATM monitoring/Safety Center online or performs pre-planned safety scenarios in the event of displacement, removal or damage to the ATM keypad pin shield.

Description

WIRELESS ONLINE SMART PIN SHIELD FOR ATM KEYPADS
Technical Field
The invention relates to an online smart pin shield developed to prevent unwanted devices or persons other than the real users from seeing the password while entering a password on ATM’s keypad. The smart pin shield of the invention is supported by electronic and wireless circuits, online monitoring, and management software and systems.
Prior Art
Currently, the keypad pin shield equipment is mounted on the ATM keypad with adhesives or mechanical fasteners. When the keypad pin shield is removed, no electronic sensing system detects this operation. The information that the keypad pin shield has been removed or destroyed can only be checked visibly during periodic visits to the site.
Various developments have been made in the art regarding the protective pin shield to prevent fraud and theft on ATM keypads.
The Chinese patent document CN202120353U, which is the state of the art, mentions the prevention of theft or fraud with the help of a smart protective pin shield on the part where a password or any number is entered for a transaction. It is mentioned that, regarding the thin wires on the protective pin shield, if the protective pin shield is damaged (broken, etc.) by an attacker, the thin wires will break, alarm information will be sent to the system and the system will take precautions against theft or fraud.
The Chinese patent document CN102737442, which is the state of the art, mentions the prevention of theft or fraud with the help of a protective pin shield to include some sensor and wireless communication method for the part where a password or any number is entered for a transaction. The Japanese patent document JP2017146881A, which is the state of the art, mentions the keypad protective pin shield design. It is mentioned in the patent document that there is a curved protective pin shield with openings at certain intervals that allows the user to use the ATM keypads easily and that covers the view of the devices like cameras that are placed by the fraudsters to record the passwords.
However, due to the fact that the apparatus in the art cannot provide the necessary security enough when used alone for ATM keypads, it was necessary to develop a wireless online smart pin shield for the ATM keypads subject to the invention.
Objects of the Invention
The object of the present invention is to develop a wireless, online smart pin shield that can be monitored online and tracked remotely, which prevents theft of entered passwords by the user to ATM keypad by fraudsters or persons engaged in theft, and that can ensure being always in place and providing protection.
Another object of the invention is to develop a wireless online smart pin shield against the problem of unrecognizing or late recognition of ATM keypad pin shield damage by fraudsters or persons engaged in theft, which transmits information with its electronic system to the ATM Security center wirelessly when interference or damage is encountered.
Detailed Description of the Invention
The wireless online smart pin shield for the ATM keypads for achieving the object of the present invention is shown in the figures.
These figures are as follows;

The invention relates to a wireless online smart pin shield developed for ATM keypads, comprising
- a protective pin shield (1) with at least one opening in the direction that a substance or hand positioned on the ATM keypads enters the keypads,
- at least one protective pin shield (2) on the protective cap (1), which enables the keypad to be seen by the customer and is shaped as a grid with particular intervals,
- a circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3) supported by acceleration and pressure sensors disposed on the protective closure,
- cable (4) positioned on the inner upper surface of the protective pin shield (1), which allows the system to go to an alarm state in case of breakage or damage and is connected with the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3), - a cable protector (5) positioned to cover the cable (3) and to be mounted on the protective pin shield (1),
- a presence sensor (6) positioned on the rear side of the protective pin shield (1) and triggered when the protective pin shield (1) is removed,
- a slot cap (7) placed on the protective pin shield (1), which closes the slot where the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3) and the presence sensor (6) are located,
- rear adhesive (8) for securing the protective pin shield (1) to the rear wall,
- side adhesive (9) that allows the protective pin shield (1) to adhere to the ATM,
- at least one presence sensor adhesive (10) that allows the presence sensor (6) to adhere to the surface,
- a circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) located in the ATM and connected to the ATM PC with USB behind the smart pin shield and to the ATM Monitoring Center via the ATM PC.
Persons engaged in fraud or theft activities want to monitor the ATM keypad with devices that can receive images such as cameras or similar. However, they cannot receive images due to the protective pin shield discussed. Therefore, they ensure that their cameras receive images by damaging or removing the ATM keypad protectors altogether. The customer and the bank are protected by taking all kinds of precautions, including disabling the ATM, in case of possible removal or destruction thereof by supporting the ATM keypad protectors with electronic systems due to this event. ATM keypad pin shield will notify the ATM Monitoring Center or other programmed units via its own circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) via wireless communication method and report a theft or fraud activity to the center in an automated manner via SMS or EMAIL. In this way, it will be ensured that the officers assigned to the ATM device intervene quickly.
The difference between the wireless online smart pin shield for ATM Keypads and the usual keypad is that it is supported by electronic systems. It contains a circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3) electronic circuit board, RF signal receiver/transmitter, and sensors. In normal operation, the electronic circuit is powered by its battery with ultra-low power consumption and informs the circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) in the ATM that it is normally functioning or in an alarm state for a certain period of time. The circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) in the ATM (in the safe area) can take predetermined actions for customer safety when it does not receive data from the wireless connection or when it receives alarm information.
It is attached to the ATM body with the presence sensor (6) from an important point that will make it difficult to remove the online smart pin shield for ATM keypads. The presence sensor (6) adheres to both the ATM body and the pin shield with double-sided tapes on both sides. In case of removal, the electrical change that will occur in the presence sensor (6) can be measured by the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3), which is the electronic circuit board. The presence sensor (6) turns the circuit from the short circuit to the open circuit when it is removed due to its structure. As a consequence, it stops periodically transmitting to the circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) in the ATM that it is in normal operation. The circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) goes to an alarm state and transmits the status to the ATM security center online or can run the necessary scenario (trigger the alarm panel, etc.) by itself. In the invention, the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3), which is an electronic circuit board, is secretly positioned, the entrance of the slot required to be reached is closed with a plug or slot pin cap (7), and the plug opening direction is positioned in a way that requires the removal of the pin shield. To check the structural integrity of the grids, there is an online conductive cable (4) connected to the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3). If the protective pin shield opening (2) is cut, the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3) is triggered and the circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) is alarmed as this conductive cable (4) will break. In order to understand the changes on the keypad pin shield, there are acceleration and pressure sensors on the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3). By following the perceived values, disassembly or destruction can be understood and the circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) can be alarmed.

Claims

1. The invention relates to a wireless online smart pin shield developed for ATM keypads, characterized in that it comprises the following:
- a protective pin shield (1) with at least one opening in the direction that a substance or hand positioned on the ATM keypad is able to press the keys,
- at least one protective pin shield opening (2) on the protective pin shield (1), which enables the keypad to be seen by the customer and is formed in the form of a grid at particular intervals,
- a circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3) supported by acceleration and pressure sensors disposed on the protective closure,
- cable (4) positioned on the inner upper surface of the protective pin shield (1), which allows the system to go to an alarm state in case of breakage or damage and is connected with the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3),
- a cable protector (5) positioned to cover the cable (4) and to be mounted on the protective pin shield (1),
- a presence sensor (6) positioned on the rear side of the protective pin shield (1) and triggered when the protective pin shield (1) is removed,
- a circuit with BLE Microprocessor II (11) located in the ATM and connected to the ATM PC with USB behind the smart pin shield and to the ATM Monitoring Center via the ATM PC.

The invention relates to a wireless online smart pin shield developed for ATM keypads according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a slot pin cap (7) placed on the protective pin shield (1), which closes the slot where the circuit with BLE Microprocessor I (3) and the presence sensor (6) are located.
3. The invention relates to a wireless online smart pin shield developed for ATM keypads according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises a rear adhesive (8) that allows the protective pin shield (1) to be secured to the rear wall.
4. The invention relates to a wireless online smart pin shield developed for ATM keypads according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises a side adhesive (9) that allows the protective pin shield (1) to adhere to the ATM.
5. The invention relates to a wireless online smart pin shield developed for ATM keypads according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that it comprises at least one presence sensor adhesive (10) that allows the presence sensor (6) to adhere to the surface.
