Abstract
La présente invention concerne un système de surveillance de la croissance d'animaux vivants caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend : • au moins un environnement fermé (5) conçu pour loger les animaux au-dessus d'un plancher inférieur (6) ; • au moins une caméra (10) conçue pour prendre des photographies numériques et pourvue d'une zone de visualisation prédéterminée (11) placée de façon à cadrer le plancher inférieur (6), ou au moins une partie de celui-ci ; • au moins des premiers moyens de traitement (15) en communication de données avec la caméra pour recevoir les photographies numériques prises ; • les premiers moyens de traitement comprennent au moins un élément de logiciel conçu pour détecter la surface moyenne des animaux dans les photos prises; • le système comprend en outre un élément de logiciel conçu pour calculer le poids moyen des animaux sur la base de la surface moyenne détectée.
