Abstract

The invention relates to dispensing apparatus for sheet material and in particular, a sheet material which has a series of slits or apertures formed therein which are expanded during the dispensing of the sheet material to form larger voids. The dispensing apparatus includes a braking assembly to provide resistance to the dispensing of the sheet material in a substantially uniform manner. A cutting assembly can also be provided to allow an improved cut of a portion of the sheet material which can then be used for packaging an article.
