Description
FOOTWEAR FOR BEACH
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates to a footwear, in particular, a footwear that could be used for covering the foot securely with respect to a sole structure of the footwear, and also to aid in support and stability of our foot.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Walking and running on bare feet when at sea, in the water or on the beach are common practice. Walking and running barefoot is considered as one of the more real dangers, as it can cause dirty objects to pierce the skin of your foot and cause not only pain, but possibly even infection. Such wounds can be caused by sharp objects lying on the beach.
A regular shoe is simply not suitable for the water and a regular fin is simply not suitable for land. Regular shoes are slippery when walking on a wet surface or in the water, and possibly result in injuries to wearers of such shoes. Therefore, beach shoes or water shoes are designed for both walking on the beach and moving in the water, as typically shoes are made of strong and durable rubber to protect feet from sharp objects such as spiny shells, horse mussels and broken sea shells and sharp, rough rocks but can also serve as protection against stings from various creatures.
However, the beach shoe is not suitable to be used for walking on hot sand, shopping esplanades near the beach area, or even heading back to the hotel or resort.
Hence, a suitable footwear is proposed for those who want to wear their shoes from home and go all the way to the beach and into the sea without taking off their shoes. The proposed footwear is also useful for hiking around bodies of water where you would also like to swim, or hiking and crossing a lake without the need of changing beach shoes to normal shoes and continue hiking on the other side.

Preferably, the fin-like extension is shorter to permit a user to kick during swimming at a higher rate over longer periods of time.
Preferably, the outer-sole portion having the fin-like extension projecting from a heel portion of the shoe to the toe portion extending beyond the foot receiving cavity.
Preferably, the fin-like extension width does not extend beyond the width of the shoe.
Preferably, the top portion of the shoe is made of cloth, leather, rubber or plastic materials.
Preferably, the foot receiving cavity having a front, a top, and two sides for covering the foot.
