For Oil and Gas works in Drilling, Repair and Completion of Marine Wells, we focus on designing a Low Density Fluid of Direct Emulsion Based on Seawater with the purpose of reducing operating costs, taking advantage of the existing resource in Offshore (Water de Mar), eliminating the use of drilling water and, as a consequence, the support of supply ships; Similarly, we adjusted the oil/water ratio, reducing the use of diesel oil with values from 50/50 to 30/70. This new design will be able to withstand bottom temperatures of up to 170 °C and have the ability to inhibit clay. reactive in the drilling process, it also has the capacity to transport the grains of salt for the placement of Salt Plugs without altering their physicochemical properties, it allows the drilling, repair and completion of wells to continue in adverse weather conditions since the logistics is minimal due to the use of seawater in its preparation. Regardless of the use of seawater and the adjustment of the Oil-Water Ratio, the filtering and viscosifying reducing polymer was also thermally adjusted to be able to reach working temperatures of up to 170°C. Chemiservis de México is the first company in Mexico to test it. successfully at the laboratory level and certify it before a laboratory accredited by the EMA, (Mexican Accreditation Entity), using the existing Standard for water-based fluids (NRF-301-PEMEX-2012 "Low Density Systems used in Drilling, Completion and Maintenance of Wells"); In the case of our design, this norm does not apply since the base of our fluid is seawater and for the norm in question it is with fresh water, curricularly we subject our system to that norm in order to have comparative parameters.
ANTECEDENTES . BACKGROUND .
Since 1982, at Petróleos Mexicanos, research has been carried out on different water-based and oil-based fluids with the aim of solving the problem of lost circulation in depressed reservoirs, obtaining a low-density direct emulsion fluid with rheological properties. and thixotropic fluids that were superior to the fluids available at that time, solving a large part of the problem of lost circulation in wells under maintenance in depressed reservoirs. The design and application of this fluid was in September 1982 indicating that its preparation is with drilling water or fresh water.

One of the critical problems that arise when intervening wells in depressed or fractured areas is the severe or total loss of fluid to the formation, the constraints of some drilling equipment on the preparation of fluid on site require rapid and effective responses, effective in Regarding the generation of a fluid with the required physicochemical properties where this situation is not met by current fluids and this entails long times. This area of opportunity led us to study and reason about a fluid design that complies with the above and would give us the benefits to intervene formations: depressed carbonate rocks, fractured carbonate rocks, clayey sands of high permeability without exposing the well, achieving the fabrication of the fluid in short times, thus helping to improve production times.
