Abstract
Description
(1)概要
本実施形態に係るガスセンサ1は、例えば、人工嗅覚センサであって、検出対象のガス分子として、例えば、ニオイ成分の分子を検出するために用いられる。ニオイ成分の分子としては、揮発性有機化合物(VOC:Volatile Organic Compounds)及びアンモニア等があり、ガスセンサ1はこのVOC等を検出するために用いられる。ガスセンサ1は、例えば、食品から捕集したガス、人体から採取した呼気、又は建物の部屋から採取した空気等の試料ガスに含まれるニオイ成分のガス分子であるVOCを検出する。なお、ガスセンサ1の検出対象のガス分子はVOCに限定されず、VOCを含む複数種類のニオイ成分の分子でもよいし、ニオイ成分以外の分子、例えば、可燃性ガス、一酸化炭素等の有毒ガス等の分子でもよい。
上記のように、本実施形態に係るガスセンサ1の感応部20は、ガス吸着体201を備える。ガス吸着体201はイオン液体を含んでいる。イオン液体は常温で液体の塩(低分子)であって、従来からガスセンサの感応部に用いられている高分子よりも立体障害が小さい。従って、検出対象のガス分子Gはガス吸着体201に吸着しやすく、またガス吸着体201に吸着されたガス分子Gは、ガス吸着体201中での拡散速度が速いと考えられる。よって、ガスセンサ1の応答速度を速くすることができる。またイオン液体を含むガス吸着体201はガス分子Gの離脱も高速で行われる。従って、本実施形態のガスセンサ1では、感応部20のガス吸着材料であるイオン液体がガス分子Gを高速に吸脱着することで、導電性粒子の大きな構造変化を可逆的に引き起こすことができる。
実施形態は、本開示の様々な実施形態の一つに過ぎない。実施形態は、本開示の目的を達成できれば、設計等に応じて種々の変更が可能である。
本実施形態に係るガスセンサ1は、イオン液体の構成が実施形態1に係るガスセンサ1と相違する。
本実施形態に係るガスセンサ1は、複数の感応部20を有する場合において、各感応部20のガス吸着体201に含まれるイオン液体の構成が実施形態1及び2に係るガスセンサ1と相違する。
試験用のガスセンサ1のガス吸着体201を構成するイオン液体として、カチオンが上記[化2]に示すイミダゾリウムを使用し、アニオンとして上記[化1]に示す疎水性アニオンを使用した。導電性粒子202としては、平均粒径44nmのカーボンブラックを使用した。感応部20を構成するガス吸着体201と導電性粒子202の比率は、質量比で、導電性粒子:ガス吸着体=2:1である。
試験用のガスセンサ1のガス吸着体201を高分子であるポリシロキサンポリマー(Sigma-Aldrich社製、商品名SP-2330)で形成した以外は、実施例1と同様に形成した。
ガス吸着体201を構成するイオン液体として、カチオンが上記[化2]に示すイミダゾリウムを使用し、アニオンとしては弱親水性のヘキサフルオロリン酸イオン(PF6 -)を使用した。それ以外は実施例1と同様に形成した。
ガス吸着体201を構成するイオン液体として、カチオンが上記[化2]に示すイミダゾリウムを使用し、アニオンとしては親水性のテトラフルオロホウ酸イオン(BF4 -)を使用した。それ以外は実施例1と同様に形成した。
以上説明したように、第1の態様に係るガスセンサ(1)は、感応部(20)と、感応部(20)を介して配置される複数の電極(21)と、を備える。感応部(20)は、イオン液体を含み、ガス分子(G)が吸着することにより電気的抵抗が変化するように構成されている。
