Système (100) permettant de choisir un article chaussant et permettant de capturer une image (Im) d'un pied pour obtenir une semelle ou morphologie de référence, de mesurer une longueur (Lp) du pied pour appliquer des valeurs de constante de calcul et d'égalisation, de construire une grille (Gr) sur l'image comprenant douze carrés (Q), de calculer des rapports complets/vides (R) des douze carrés de la grille et de les stocker dans une table d'utilisateur (T), d'utiliser la longueur (Lp) du pied et de la table d'utilisateur (T) dans une table de recherche (7) d'une base de données pour trouver une taille (S*) et un ajustement (C*) d'un article chaussant qui est le plus approprié par rapport au pied de l'utilisateur.
