Abstract

The invention relates to an image display device for representing varying and/or moving images having the following features: a) a rollable image display film having a multiplicity of individually controllable image pixels, b) a housing, in which the image display film is arranged in the rolled state, c) a first unrolling mechanism, which enables the image display film to be extended from the housing. The invention additionally relates to a backlighting unit for an image display device, comprising one or more planarly and/or spherically pivotable and selectively controllable light sources.
