Un dispositif de lecture multimédia pour fournir un service de canal personnalisé, comprend : une unité d'entrée qui reçoit une sélection d'un canal spécifique parmi un ensemble de canaux ouverts au moyen d'un serveur de diffusion, et qui reçoit des informations d'accès permettant d'accéder à un service externe ; une unité de génération de canal personnalisé servant à générer un canal personnalisé par mappage du canal spécifique et des informations d'accès ; et une unité de fourniture de service externe servant à recevoir un contenu, associé au service externe, en provenance d'un serveur externe et à fournir en sortie ce dernier si une entrée du canal spécifique est reçue une fois la génération du service de canal personnalisé terminée.
