Description

CREDIT CARD OPENING-CLOSING SYSTEM AND METHOD
Field of the Invention
The invention relates to a system and method that enables the credit card to be temporarily deactivated by its user or to activate the deactivated credit card.
Present State of the Art
In the current applications of credit cards used today, when the user wants to deactivate the credit card, that card is completely canceled and cannot be used again. The user has to apply again for the canceled credit card or wait for the physical card to be printed for the existing card. However, it can only perform the transaction in the call center environment by calling the relevant bank call center.
The abstract of the application numbered 2020/12561 , which emerged as a result of technical research, is as follows: "The invention is the physical realization system of payments using POS terminals without sharing credit card information in payments made by e-mail order method from credit profits used in e-commerce purchases and commercial payments, and its feature is that the payment is made physically by making 10 withdrawals from the POS terminal where the closest payment infrastructure is located or the POS terminal to be brought to the place where it is located by courier."
The system relates to the physical payment method from the credit card as can be seen, and it does not mention a structure that can provide a solution to the disadvantages mentioned above.
As a result, due to the above-mentioned drawbacks and the insufficiency of present solutions in the art, it is necessary to make an improvement in the related technical field. Object of the Invention
The invention aims to provide a structure having different technical features that are novel in this field, different from the embodiments used in the present art.
The primary aim of the invention is to enable the user of the credit card to temporarily deactivate the credit card or to activate the deactivated credit card in an easy way.
An aim of the invention is to prevent the user from re-applying for the canceled card and waiting for the physical card to be printed.
An aim of the invention is to enable the user to perform the transaction quickly by logging in to internet banking, mobile banking or ATM in case her/his card is stolen or she wants to deactivate her/his card.
Another aim of the invention is to relieve the burden of the call centers by eliminating the calls to be made with the call centers of the banks for card losses, card cancelations, or new card requests with this system.
Another aim of the invention is to prevent the card from being lost by hosting it in the home, vehicle, and workplace and to allow it to be used in case of need.
The invention designed to achieve the objects described above is a system for the user of the credit card to temporarily deactivate or activate the deactivated credit card, characterized by comprising the following elements;
• The bank interface where the user logs in through internet banking, mobile banking, or ATM,
• Card selection screen on the credit card transactions screen where the user's cards are listed one after the other,
• Toggle operation screen until the card that is closed for use is opened for use and the card that is open for use is closed for use,
• Transaction approved screen and transaction canceled screen showing that the transaction is approved or canceled.
The structural and characteristic features of the present invention will be understood clearly by the following drawings and the detailed description made with reference to these drawings and therefore the evaluation shall be made by taking these figures and the detailed description into consideration.
Figures Clarifying the Invention
Figure 1 is the general illustration of the system according to the invention.
Figure 2 is a representation of the inventive method's mobile/internet banking application.
Figure 3 is a representation of the ATM application of the method according to the invention.
The drawings are not necessarily drawn to scale and details which are not necessary for the understanding of the present invention may be omitted. In addition, elements that are substantially identical or have substantially identical functions are denoted by the same reference signs.

Detailed Description of the Invention
In this detailed description, the preferred embodiments of the invention are merely described for a better understanding of the subject matter and without any limiting effect.
The invention relates to a system and method that enables the credit card to be temporarily deactivated by its user or to activate the deactivated credit card. The user enters the bank interface (10) via internet banking, mobile banking, or ATM in the system of the invention. The user's cards are listed one after the other and the user selects the card on the card selection screen (30) on the credit card transactions screen (20). Then, the user is directed to the open/close transaction screen (40) by clicking on the open/close option. Open/close transaction screen (40) shows “Open to Use” option if the card is closed for use. If the card is open, the “Close to Use” option appears. The user clicks on the open/close button here and the transaction is directed to the approved screen (50) or the transaction canceled screen (60). The user sees that on the transaction approved screen (50), they approve the card opening or closing process and the process is completed. They see that the card opening or closing process is canceled and the process is completed on the transaction canceled screen (60).
If the user performs their transactions over the internet/mobile banking, the transaction steps followed are as follows;
• Logging into (1001 ) the internet/mobile bank interface (10) by the user,
• Entering the user's credit card transactions screen (20) and listing (1002) the user's cards on the card selection screen (30),
• Closing the card (1003) or creating the opening request (1004) in the Open/Close Transaction screen (40),
• The check box appears on the screen (1005) when the user clicks on the card open or close option on the Open/Close Transaction screen (40),
• Clicking the check button in the warning box by the user (1006),
• Clicking the cancel button in the warning box by the user (1007),
• The warning box closing and the user seeing (1008) the transaction approved screen (50) or the transaction canceled screen (60).
If the user performs their transactions through the ATM, the process steps followed are as follows;
Logging into the bank interface (10) at the ATM by the user (2001 ), • Insertion of a manual open-close card that allows only the credit card to be opened and closed in the ATM, (The open-close card, which is an external card separately from the credit card, only allows the credit card to be opened and closed in the ATM. The open-close card is inserted into the ATM and the credit card to which the open-close card is connected is temporarily opened or closed in order to switch to the ATM interface.)
• Entering the user's credit card transactions screen (20) and listing (2002) the user's cards on the card selection screen (30),
• Selecting the card on the card selection screen (30) and entering (2003) the Open/Close Transaction screen (40),
• Clicking on the open card button (2004) in case the card is closed for use,
• Clicking the card close button if the card is open for use (2005),
• The user choosing to approve/cancel the transaction (2006),
• Displaying (2007) the transaction approved screen (50) by the user,
• The user-canceled transaction screen (60) appearing (2008).
