Abstract
The invention relates to a micro-vibrator system incorporated into plaster casts in order to prevent the damage caused by a patient, suffering from a broken leg that has been operated on, putting weight on that leg. The patient, through negligence or oversight, puts weight on their injured leg and causes collateral damage, namely causes the internal screwed plate to deform. This invention allows a patient who has been operated on to avoid putting pressure on their operated-on leg, by means of a micro-vibrator alert. The invention relates to a system made up of two parts: • a medical sole made of silicone containing a micro vibrator bonded directly to the (highly sensitive) sole of the foot which will be surrounded with plaster, or attached to the skin of the leg by a hook and loop fastener • a metal soleplate fixed to the outside of the plaster cast and superposed with the internal sole, this soleplate containing two metal push-button switches, one on the front of the foot and one at the rear of the foot. In the event of error, as soon as the front of the foot or the rear of the foot is in contact with the ground, one of the switches activates the micro-vibrator and the patient will then stop putting load through the floor in order to avoid inexorable damage.
