Abstract

Embodiments of the present application provide a handover method, an apparatus, a terminal device, a network device, and a storage medium. The handover method comprises: sending a radio resource control (RRC) connection establishment request message to a target cell, the RRC connection establishment request message carrying first indication information, the first indication information being used for assisting the target cell in determining a source cell of a terminal device UE, and the UE being connected to at least one of the target cell and the source cell by means of a relay. For a scenario where handover is executed by the terminal device UE, the embodiments of the present application can ensure service continuity during handover.
