     筒状の筐体と、
     該筐体の一方の開口から前記筐体の内側に吸い込まれた空気が前記筐体の他方の開口から吹き出すように送風する送風機と、
     前記筐体の内側を通流する空気が接触する光触媒部材と、
     前記光触媒部材に光を照射するための光源と、
     前記筐体を支持し、前記スポットライトを取り付け可能な取り付け位置に取り付けられる支持具と
     を備え、
     前記送風機、前記光触媒部材、及び前記光源は、前記筐体に内蔵されていることを特徴とする除菌装置。

     前記スポットライトが取り外された前記取り付け位置に前記支持具を取り付けることによって前記除菌装置を設置することを特徴とする除菌装置の設置方法。
