Description

“A SYSTEM THAT MONITORS AND RECORDS HEALTH OF AN INDIVIDUAL, WITH PARTICULAR APPLICATION TO TRAVELLERS IN THE CONTEXT OF PROVIDING SAFE TRAVEL”
Technical Field of Invention
[001] The present invention relates to system and method of electronically monitoring and recording health parameters and activity with respect to persons. More particularly, to a system that monitors and records health of an individual, with particular application to travellers in the context of providing safe travel.
Background of the Invention
[002] Many parts of the world are presently threatened by the spread of new, deadly, and contagious diseases, and the possibility of terrorist attacks with biological weapons. Travellers may spread dangerous microbes intentionally or unintentionally. The screening technologies that detect guns, knives, or explosives are of little value against these new biological hazards. Standard medical diagnostic techniques are time-consuming and unsuited for mass screening at places such as airports, ports of entry, immigration stations, crowded malls, or places of business. Also these screening techniques are limited to measure only body temperatures (thermal screening). Most of the time, the passengers or the persons entering the port of entry defeat or deceive these systems by taking the temperature control pills or medicines.
[003] Many governments are taking steps for the awareness about the number of infected patients in the surroundings for alerting the people through mobile applications synced to the health departments posting the real-time information about the number of infected patients and their location. This method yet useful have some drawbacks such as creating panic situations among the people living nearby surrounding areas and humiliating the infected persons etc. thus there is a need for a system to efficiently track the individual health conditions in realtime and guide the infected patients to the immediate treatment process instead of having quarantines even for the healthy people which cause delay in the travel proceedings.
[004] The present invention provides the ability to screen the masses for diseases characterized by the presence of a fever or elevation in body temperature along with other vital parameters, through which the authorities or statutory bodies can take the necessary actions.
