Definitions

  • the present invention in general, relates to information technology and computer applications and more particularly to an internet messaging application for mobile communication devices which can be accessed from all types of communication devices like Mobile Cell Phones, Desktop Computers, Laptop Computers, and Digital Tablets.
  • Digital communication devices such as Smartphones including the technically advanced foldable Mobile Phones, Desktop computers, Laptop computers, Tablet phones are increasingly powerful and the sources of potential incoming or outgoing digital messages are increasingly more varied. As a result, such mobile communication devices are being designed and built to permit users to accept various types of digital messages.
  • Communication Applications include but not limited to WhatsApp, WeChat, Slack, Telegram, Facebook and Google Hangout are becoming increasingly popular among Internet and worldwide web users because they are easy to use but there is no such feature to send a digital message to multiple users by keeping them in either copy or confidential copy mode along with the primary user.
  • One such feature is “Sending a message addressed to one user, along with copy of the message to number of other contacts, and also confidential copy of the message to some other contacts.” This will allow the users to send the desired messages to multiple contacts as a copy and confidential copy mode with or without attachments.
  • a confidential copy is very much necessary for business communication.
  • copy and confidential copy of the digital communication is used only in the emailing applications and in none of the digital messaging applications.
  • SMS short message service
  • the present invention introduces a concept of simultaneously sending the digital messages to multiple contacts by adding the contacts in copy and confidential copy mode in a digital messaging application. Also, the user can view the status of the message (message read with time or message unread) sent to the recipient, copy recipient and confidential copy recipient.
  • US8751594B2 describes about a communication method between two or more users which involves using a single software application to switch between a first mode of electronic messaging and a second mode of electronic messaging.
  • Both the first mode of electronic messaging and the second mode of electronic messaging are between a first electronic device associated with a first user and a second electronic device associated with a second user.
  • inputs are received from the first user for composing a regular message which is then sent to the second user in data transmitted through a server and saved in a memory.
  • the second mode of messaging inputs are received from the first user for composing a confidential message which is then sent to the second user in data transmitted through the server, and the data is irretrievable at a later time.
  • the end user should be allowed to access the system through the digital communication devices like Desktop / Laptop Computers, Digital Tablets and Mobile Cell Phones (Smartphones) to exchange the various kinds of digital messages (as sender, primary recipient, recipient of the copy of the message and confidential copy of the message) between themselves.
  • the purpose-built servers / routers / processors will be used in a secured network environment to enable the users to perform the task of sending a digital message addressed to a contact and sending the same message to many other contacts as copy and to some other contacts as confidential copy.
  • one aspect of the disclosed embodiment is to provide an improved structured digital messaging application for ‘sending’ a digital message addressed to one of the user’s contacts, with copies to a number of contacts and also confidential copies to another set of contacts with or without attachment through the mobile cell phones (Smartphones) as well as through other communication devices like Desktop / Laptop Computer, Digital Tablets etc.
  • Another aspect of the disclosed embodiment is to provide for an improved structured digital messaging application to ‘send’ the digital messages to several recipients in ‘copy mode’ or confidential copy mode’ from the individual digital messaging application.
  • Another aspect of the disclosed embodiment is to give an option for the user (Initiator and recipients) to attach the media files (Word, PDF, Image, Audio and Video) while responding to a digital message that they received as copy of the message or confidential copy of the message in a digital messaging application.
  • Another aspect of the disclosed embodiment is to enable the first user (Initiator) to view the status of the digital messages (read / unread) sent to multiple recipients’ in a digital messaging application as Copy and Confidential Copy.
  • Another aspect of the disclosed embodiment is to enable the Primary Recipient to send a response as a reply / comment / clarification to the digital message they received from an initiator or from one of the recipients of the copy of the message in a digital messaging application.
  • Another aspect of the disclosed embodiment is to enable the recipients (Primary Recipient / Recipients of the Copy of the message / Recipients of the Confidential Copy of the message ) to view the read or unread status of the other recipients who have also received the same message through the digital messaging application.
  • one more aspect of the disclosed embodiment is the users (Initiators and the recipients) will get the notification for the ‘type of digital messages’ (Copy / Confidential Copy) they sent or received in the dashboard of the digital messaging application.
  • one more aspect of the disclosed embodiment is the system is designed in such a way that the recipients of the Copy of the digital message will not know about the recipients of the Confidential Copy of the digital message. If there are more than one Recipients of Confidential Copy message, then one Recipient of the Confidential Copy will not know about the other Recipient of the Confidential Copy who has received the same digital message in Confidential Copy mode.
  • One more aspect of the disclosed embodiment is to allow the conversation initiated by the Initiator to continue in parallel between one or more Recipients of the Copy of the message or between the Primary Recipient and any one or more Recipients of the Confidential Copy of the message in a digital messaging application.
  • One more aspect of the disclosed embodiment is to allow the Initiator to have the options like Reminder, Note, Edit and Recall for the digital messages they sent and the recipients (Primary Recipient / Recipients of the Copy of the message / Recipients of the Confidential Copy of the message) to have the options like Reply, Comment and Clarify for the digital messages they received.
