Abstract

In a device (400) and in a process for packaging articles to be packaged (1) operating continuously, which is realised by containing the overall dimensions despite the use of an in any case high number of robotic systems, in which the articles are fed on a first conveyor line (115), there are provided: a second conveyor line (107) for a flow of open box-shaped packagings (30) to be filled with said articles (1) arranged in layers (38); a plurality of transfer devices (200) for picking the articles (1) and inserting them in a respective target box-shaped packaging (30), wherein said transfer devices (200) each comprise a handling member (202) and a gripping device (203) which are movable along three orthogonal axes, (X, Y, Z); and a control unit (500) which controls said transfer devices (200) and which comprises a collection of laws of motion and/or relevant trajectories defining the motion of said transfer devices (200), wherein a set of laws of motion and/or relevant trajectories is selected from said collection according to a predetermined number and size of the layers (38).
