Abstract

The invention relates to a filter element (70) having a filter medium (12) which is folded in a star-shaped manner and which annularly surrounds a longitudinal axis (14), a first end disc (20) which seals a first end face (18) of the filter medium (12), a second end disc (24) which seals a second end face (22) of the filter medium (12), and a central tube (30) which extends from the first end disc (20) to the second end disc (24), wherein at least one axial fixing element (38) and at least one rotary stop (40), which is designed to secure the filter element (10) to a first housing element (76), of a securing structure (36) protrude beyond the first end disc (20) so as to face away from the filter medium (12). The invention additionally relates to a liquid filter (68) comprising such a filter element (70) and a filter housing (72), a first housing element (76) having a holding structure (75) on which the filter element (70) is held by the securing structure (36).
