Magnetic Toy Block Technical Field
The invention relates to a brainteaser toy known as magnetic cube or magnetic block, which allows both adults and children to have a good time together, contributing to the development of hand skills and imagination.
Prior Art
Cube or block game is played by placing cube-shaped pieces on top of each other and / or side by side. In this way, the players can bring various living or non-living entities/structures that they envisioned in his mind into a 3-dimensional environment.
In the prior art, there are simple blocks without magnets and magnetic blocks containing magnets. Magnetic blocks are more preferred as they provide a more funny game opportunity and ease of use.
When designing a magnetic block, the most important issue is how and in what way the small magnet particles will be placed in the toy cube consisting of two basic parts. Because the product is generally used by small children, the main purpose is to eliminate all health risks and to provide the highest level of ease of use without compromising fun. Ease of production and cost-orientation are considered as secondary motives.
A magnetic toy block is mentioned in the European patent document with the code EP2017787209 in the prior art. The magnetic block includes a hollow body consisting of first and second shell elements configured identically to peripheral contact surfaces to contact peripheral surfaces of other magnetic blocks of a mechanism. Each shell element is equipped with male and female fasteners. In the mentioned patent document, magnets are placed in female fasteners. When the parts, which are called as the first and second shell elements, are opened by forcing or broken, the magnets are released. The released small magnet parts are of a size that can be swallowed, posing a health and safety risk, especially for small children. In addition, the placement of these magnet parts in the female fastener and keeping them there while the shell elements are combined is a serious production problem. Because the magnet particles remain released in the female connecting element, there is no structure that holds or prevents the said magnets from unseating by fixing them.
In the national utility model document coded 2016/17641 in the prior art, prismatic structural parts that are independent of magnetic poles and can be clamped magnetically to each other are mentioned. Said structural part contains a magnet, a magnet holder, a magnet holder wall thickness (3), a prismatic component (4) and a structure cavity (5). In the said product in the mentioned utility model document, the freely rotating cylinder magnets with equal diameter and length ensure that all surfaces of polyhedron and prismatic structural parts can be clamped in a simple and efficient manner by attracting each other independently of magnetic poles.
Purpose of the Invention
The purpose of the invention is to obtain a magnetic cube that the magnet parts it contains does not pose a health and safety risk to small children, when it is split into two or broken.
Another purpose of the invention is to obtain a magnetic cube in which the production and mounting stages can be carried out very effortlessly and quickly.
Another purpose of the invention is to obtain a cube with magnetic properties, which enables children to have a good time and at the same time improve their hand skills and intelligence. The cube developed to achieve the mentioned purposes contains the body (10), a male fastener (20), a female fastener (30), a magnet holder (40) comprising a locking tab (41) and a magnet (50).

The invention is about a brainteaser toy known as magnetic cube or magnetic block, which allows both adults and children to have a good time together, contributing to the development of hand skills and imagination.
The toy block subject to the invention contains the body (10), a male fastener (20), a female fastener (30), a magnet holder (40) comprising a locking tab (41) and a magnet (50). The toy block consists of two bodies (10) that are symmetrical and / or identical to each other. Since both bodies (10) are identical to each other, they are produced with the same moulding. By locking the said two bodies (10) to each other, a toy with magnetic property in the form of a cube is obtained.
There are male fastener (20), female fastener (30) and magnet holder (40) on the body (10) forming the magnetic cube of the invention. The male fastener (20) and the female fastener (30) are positioned to coincide with each other to ensure a complete locking when both bodies (10) are closed on each other. In this way, two bodies (10) combine to create a toy in the form of a cube.
The cube has a total of six surfaces. There are a total of six magnet holders (40) on the two bodies (10) that make up each cube. Magnet holders (40) are located at or near the midpoint of each surface of the cube.
There are locking tabs (41) on the upper part of the magnet holders (40). Thanks to the locking tabs (41), the magnets (50) positioned in the magnet holders (40) are prevented from unseating in cases such as disassembling and breaking of the cube. In the prior art, the magnets are released when the bodies (10) are opened or broken. Since the released magnets (50) are parts of a small size that can be swallowed, they pose a health and safety risk, especially for small children. The said health and safety risks are eliminated by means of the locking tabs (41). Thanks to the flexible structure of the locking tabs (41) in the cube of the invention, the magnets (50) are easily placed in the magnet holders (40). The locking tabs (41) prevent the magnets (50) that they have locked inside by stretching from unseating. In this way, a magnetic cube is obtained in which the production and mounting stages can be carried out very easily and quickly.
After the magnets (50) are placed in the magnet holders (40), the inside of the said magnet holders (40) can be easily seen with the eye. Since the inside of the magnet holder (40) can be easily seen, the quality control process is easily performed during production.
When the magnets (50) are positioned within the magnet holders (40), each magnet (50) is close to a surface of the cube. By positioning the magnet (50) close to the surface, an effective magnetic attraction force is created on each surface of the cube. Thus, cubes used as game tools can be used more effectively.
The cubes, which are used as game tools with magnetic property of the invention, are clamped by pulling each other when they are placed side by side, on top of each other and / or one on the other. Since all six surfaces of the cube have a smooth structure, the player can make the shape they want without any restrictions.
In the alternative embodiment of the invention, the cover (60) is used to keep the magnets (50) in the magnet holders (40) in a more stable manner and to reduce the magnetic interaction of the magnets (50) with each other. The cover (60) used as an alternative has two different embodiments. In the first embodiment, the cover (60) is positioned between the locking tabs (41). In the second embodiment, it is used directly on the magnet holder (40) without locking tabs (41).
