Definitions

  • the substrate or bed corresponds to material placed on the ground or base, whether organic or inorganic, used by animals to support their bodies when they rest or are stationary, and maintain the hygiene of the habitat. They are used in animals that are contained in cages, boxes or terrariums in the case of pets or in stables, chicken coops, hatcheries or establishments for farm or production animals. In both cases it is used to provide a more natural and comfortable environment for the animals. It reduces the pressure on the skin, the loss of heat and the contamination by the waste produced by the animal itself.
  • the "sanitary litters" correspond to the filling used in the collection boxes of urine and feces indoors for cats, as well as rabbits, ferrets, miniature pigs (minipigs), small dogs and other pets that instinctively or through training they will make use of this deposit. They are used for pets that are allowed to roam freely in a home but are not always able or unable to excrete their metabolic waste.
  • the present invention relates to a product made from seaweed; whose field of application is to serve as a substrate, bed, litter or sanitary litter for small animals, such as mammals such as cats, small breed dogs (Chihuahua, Paplllon, Pomeranla, etc.), rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs , mice, ground hedgehogs, ferrets, chinchillas and other larger ones such as pigs; but not only limited to them, its application being useful for reptiles such as turtles, guanas, dragons, snakes and birds in general.
