Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de sprinkler humide pour éteindre un incendie à l'intérieur d'une structure. Le système comprend un système de tuyauterie pour distribuer de l'eau sous pression à une ou plusieurs têtes de sprinkler. La tête de sprinkler diffère des têtes de sprinkler classiques en ce qu'elle ne comprend pas d'élément de détection thermique ou d'élément de type vanne. Le système comprend en outre un ou plusieurs capteurs thermiques à distance hydrauliques reliés au système de tuyauterie et situés en amont de la tête de sprinkler et reliés à celui-ci par l'intermédiaire d'une conduite hydraulique. Les capteurs thermiques à distance hydrauliques comprennent une ampoule de verre thermique ou une liaison fusible, et un élément de type vanne. Lorsqu'un incendie est détecté, l'ampoule de verre ou la liaison fusible se rompt, ce qui produit l'ouverture de l'élément de type vanne pour permettre à l'eau de s'écouler à partir de capteurs thermiques à distance hydrauliques via la conduite hydraulique jusqu'à la tête de sprinkler afin d'éteindre le feu. La séparation entre le capteur thermique et la tête de sprinkler permet de donner des options d'installation plus souples aux systèmes de sprinkler humides et d'en réduire le coût.
