Abstract

The present invention relates to an activated carbon prepared using a new biomaterial and to the method for the manufacture thereof based on the chemical/thermal activation of the kernel of the JUJUBE ZIZIPHUS LOTUS (sidr) and the use thereof as a new adsorption support for wastewater treatment, biogas purification, abatement of metallic trace elements, reduction of the organic and microbial load.
